So I'm here to explain the recently lack of activity on my part and the staff.

I'll start by saying how this place actually came to be. The site was originally made up of members from a Super Smash Bros. Site called Brawl Domain. Eventually, the admin made it public that he was going to shut down the site. I took initiative and made a site for all the members to be able to do what they enjoyed and created The Game Domain.

JJ (some of you probably know him better as TopKirby) caught wind of the site and went on to advertise it, which I am very grateful for, I met a lot of new and interesting people.

About the time I was starting to get things going, I was approached by the old admin from Brawl Domain. Long story short, Brawl Domain wasn't exactly going down, but instead being reinvented. He asked me if I wanted to be a part of it.

I gave it a lot of thought, considering I just got settled in with this site. He explained why he came to me so late and why he was doing everything in this fashion. I decided to jump on board with his plans and give him a hand.

What does this mean for you guys? Well I'm planning on keep this alive if you guys are still interested, but I highly advise you join the new Smash Domain. It has a lot of features I was hoping to incorporate here, but I'm only one guy working on the coding of the site and there is only so much I can do. Even if you aren't a die-hard Super Smash Bros. fan, there is plenty to do and discuss on this forum, not to mention one of my favorite communities I have had the pleasure to be a part of.

Announcements and the start of Kanto Pokemon Circuit

If you guys somehow haven't noticed, I got an announcement system going on at the top. I'll be using this to announce official tournaments run by the Organizers. We are kick-starting it with a Pokemon Online tournament. Click the banner to check it out.

Anyone that participates has a chance at winning an award, even if they aren't the overall winner. There will be cumulative rewards throughout the circuit. You will receive a Pokeball award upon winning 3 matches. This Pokeball will upgrade as you gain more wins throughout the circuit.

As of now these are the milestones, but they are subject to change:

Pokeball = 3 wins
Greatball = 10 wins
Ultraball = 35 wins
Masterball= 75 wins

This tourney will be the first to count towards your wins.

The winner will also receive Ash's Hat as an award.

Minor Updates


- Your blog can now be accessed directly from your inbox tab at the top right

- You can now subscribe to someone's blog. Unfortunately, blog subscriptions aren't showing up yet in the Assistant.

- Added a Youtube tag for those that don't want to be bothered with sizing with flash.

- Added a Rotate tag for signatures. You can use this to display something different every time someone sees it. You use it by replacing the underscore with whatever you want rotated. Add multiple rotations as you see fit.

So I came up with a way to display user blogs on the forum.

For those of you who don't know, you can create your own blogs by clicking Preferences and then 'My Blog' under Profile 'Options'

There you can name your blog and set categories for yourself as well. Every time you make a new entry, a post will automatically be made in this topic with a link back to your entry: http://w11.zetaboards.com/The_Game_Domain/topic/7646812/1/

We should be kicking off some Events and Tournaments pretty son. I have assigned ChKn and MBmoney as organizers for these events. ChKn is going to kick stuff off with a Pokemon Online tournament.

With events on the way, I will also be giving out awards. An example of one can be found under my account info to the left of this post. Not only will these be awarded at events, but will also be given out for achievements.

Dang I'm actually surprised with the activity today. Nice going guys.

So a quick update on what I've been doing.

All 4 themes have been updated to include proper buttons and such. I changed the default theme to Edge. You can change the theme at the lower left corner on your Assistant.

Speaking of which, you guys should play around with the Assistant and see how you like it, its pretty useful in my opinion. One issue I've been having with it is having the top 10 posters not work. It's an issue with zetaboards that I cannot currently resolve.

I'd like any feedback so far or any suggestions.

I noticed quite a few people have requested name changes. For now I've approved them all. For those of you that have requested a name change and can't log in, make sure you are logging in with your new requested name.

If you are still having any problems logging in or validating your email, just hit me up in the chat.

Welcome everyone. If it isn't too apparent, the site isn't completely... well complete. None the less, enough has been worked on to have it functional. For now the forum is dedicated to general gaming, although I can accommodate to people's needs. I am open to suggestions on the forum or features.



As of now, I've included these features:

- [roll] tag similar to ajax dice rolls
- [flash] tag for youtube videos allows you to choose the size of video in your post
- Like/dislike buttons for individual posts (will remove dislike button if abused)
- Awards system displayed under user info in posts and profiles
- Assistant with various features




Things I am working on or known issues:

- Finish the themes
- Forum Descriptions
- New smilies
- Blog system
- Touch up the Assistant (theme's not showing preview is known and will be fixed)
- Individual forum markers




For now, we are going to be rolling with a chatango chat. It isn't exactly ideal, but it'll do for now. I'm hoping to get up some tournaments and events started pretty soon with awards. Enjoy yourself and contact me if anything comes up.
