I don't feel sorry for her either. There is obviously a very dark side to this life style, yet Playboy and Hef makes it seem like the "bunny life" is all about roses and sunshine. smh Edited by Teresa, Jan 17 2014, 10:19 AM.

Then you've never seen someone go through addiction. It is a terrible, terrible thing that grabs hold of the body and soul. She was probably plagued by it everyday of her life. I've seen people go through this stuff and they truly don't have control of it after a certain point. It literally takes over their life. I personally think it is part a demonic infestation. Yes, they can get professional help but until they close all of those doors to the past there is always a chance it will come back stronger. Sorry, just have personally seen this too much to not feel bad for her. |

News/ Playboy Playmate Cassandra Lynn Hensley Dead at 34 Posted Image UPDATE: A representative for Cassandra Hensley's family told E! News in a statement: "It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Cassandra Hensley's passing from a tragic and accidental overdose. We are all very grateful for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and fans. During this time, we ask for respect and privacy as arrangements are made to celebrate the life of a wonderful and loving mother, wife and friend." unresponsive in a bathtub on Wednesday, Jan. 15. The friend performed CPR while the paramedics responded. Unfortunately, they were unable to revive Cassandra and she was pronounced dead. The cause of death is pending an autopsy, which may be completed as soon as Thursday afternoon. (TMZ, who was first to report the tragic news, claims Cassandra's friend suspected she died of an overdose.) Cassandra Lynn Hensley, Playboy magazine's Miss February 2006, is dead at age 34. The L.A. coroner's office confirmed to E! News that a friend found the model In a December 2013 interview with Metropolitan magazine, Hensley spoke about what she's been up to since her 2006 centerfold appearance. "Yes, there is life after Playboy," she said. "I have been a part of many great experiences: travel shows, magazine covers, and of course giving advice to young impressionable girls who think they need to act a certain way for a chance to be a model (classy not slutty)." She told the mag she planned to spend Christmas "at home making chocolate-chip pancakes for the family." Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Yeah, something must have really haunted her. I just finished reading Bobbie Brown's book about her days with the 80's and 90's rockers. She talked about Jani Lane from Warrant and he told her a secret a few years before he died. It was something that happened when he was young and basically started him down the path of alcoholism. Every person who I've lost to addiction had suffered something bad in their formative years. Addiction is a nasty deal. |

Often, a death sentence. Never believed that Whitney Houston would wind up that way. I always thought she was too smart. Guess, when somebody tells you that, "They can handle their drugs," you just know what's down the road. Very, very sad for all involved. We've all lost loved ones to the scourge. Heroin is truly a creation of the devil. :-/ |

You have no idea what I've been through. Both my parents are herion addicts. My mother overdosed when I was 10 years old, and was revived, but she continues using to this day. I am plagued with memories of my mother and father being so out of it, they would have their eyes rolling in the back of their heads, and me being so young tried my best to take care of them. I would spoon feed them food trying to get them to come back around because I was so scared. I am no longer in contact with them, and I refuse to take any drug because that is the most selfish thing you can do. ESPECIALLY when there is children involved. My parents ruined my childhood. They cared more about getting high than the welfare of me and my brothers. I would have to wait to eat until I got school, because my parents wouldn't buy us food, but spend money on herion so they can get high. My children WILL NEVER experience what my parents put me through. PLEASE don't tell me that I haven't seen addiction, because I LIVED IT. I don't feel sorry for someone who CHOOSES to get high, who CHOOSES to put drugs above all everything else. My parents messed me up pretty bad, but I CHOOSE to live a sober life. I CHOOSE to work hard to give everything my son and my soon to be daughter needs. |

God Bless You Sam. You are special young woman. I, too, after being a child protective officer for many years can attest to the trauma and heartbreak from parents who suffered the scourge of drug addiction. Clearly you and your brother fell through the cracks. You made it, baby girl. Live your life for those kids. I know they will never go hungry. Sorry about the soapbox  The Hensley girl is out of her misery, but those poor children. |

No one can predict who or what an addict will look like. Or what they are addicted too. It could be alcohol, drugs, pills, gambling, jumping off buildings for the adreniline high. I will tell you this and almost no one knows this. I was away for two and a half weeks over the holidays. One person messaged me and asked if I was ok. I wasn't. I was in rehab. I am on a strict schedule now and in recovery. I meet with therapists and case workers five days a week. I never want to go through that again and I will not. My life is too valualble. Right now I think its the best thing that ever happened to me because I was heading down a path of self destruction and I am such a happier person |
