Oh I love her hair that color. I can't wait to see the next evolution of Holly. I hope she keeps her fans updated somehow besides on Twitter. You can't get much across in that format. She uses her website pretty sporadically but maybe it will be more consistent after Peepshow is over.

Ok, love the hair color. it suits her.

What pisses me off is that there are so many kids that need to be adopted. She could also look into foster care. Maybe adopting an older child and not an infant. Honestly, if I can't have my own child (and there is that possibility) I would try to adopt an older child because they always seem to get passed over.

I agree with you Tishy. But do you think she would have a hard time getting approved for an adoption? I know money talks but her fame is not on the same level as say, Angelina Jolie. I just hope she doesn't have kids with that Raver bf of hers. ^o)

Why wait if you feel right about it? lets face it, Holly's not getting any younger and what happens if in five years, when people think that is an appropriate time to have a baby, she can no longer have them? I'm sure she'll cope just fine as a single mum if it came to that. she has a lot more to offer a child than a lot of people

I'm not so worried about the single mom part (except if she's working as hard as she's been known too I'm sure the kid won't get to see her much) - I have issues with the possible dead beat dad situation. I have one, and I wouldn't want to put a kid through that emotionally as they grow up. No matter what you tell that kid and how much you love them, deep down at some point in their life they're going to have those feelings of "why wasn't i good enough for my dad to stick around" and they'll have to get through that - IF that happens.

But the truth is, having a baby with someone you barely know could very well result in him skipping out on the entire situation. It's just a fact that I hope she has taken into consideration.

I have to agree, I love to see people adopt. I've looked into it and it's easier to adopt children from other countries if you're a single parent, but as long as you have the financial ability, and suitable home for the child, it shouldn't be that difficult for her. What kid wouldn't want to grow up in her disneyland themed house! haha
Also since she won't be doing peep show, and in that article talks about starting some "real" businesses - she will have a more normal schedule

I agree her time is running out. I'd love to see her adopt a child that's a little older. But that dead beat dad situation bothers me too.

i like that hair color on her, and yea, if it's her dream to have a baby then that is what she should do. she sure has the means to afford one. at least she's not keeping it a secret that she is wanting a baby........so the baby daddy will know by now her plans. or if she goes with a donor , she's always had that urge to have a baby-and good for her that she's not afraid of what it will do to her body.

I think Holly deserves a baby. She has wanted to become a mother for so long!

I suspect Holly's pushing the story to generate some interest in her career, and possibly to settle a few questions with shorty-of-the-month. :)

She's only 32, so unless she has a fertility problem, there's no rush to "pop out a kid." She can freeze some eggs and wait until she's finished with that "education", at least. Ideally, it would be nice for her to pick one serious home base and develop a real support system before dropping that childbomb, especially if she's going to be doing this alone. No, nannies and baby sitters and drunken BFFs don't count. :P

yea boringbunny, she seems to be talking up...maybe a loud warning bell to the newest bf:O

and yep, i hope she has a plan to settle down a bit with the baby, but babies are pretty mobile when they are young and preschool. just as long as she quits being a party hound and takes time to actually raise her child.

there are plenty of single mom's out there who do a great job......here's hoping she'll be one of those.

I always liked Holly. I would have liked to see her in Peep Show before she ended, but the last vacay Hubby gave me the choice of Vegas or New York. He was even going to sit through her show for me! If I would have thought her stint was ending so soon, I would have chosen Vegas...oh well...I had too much fun in NY to cry about it now...stinks though

It was believed that Holly hid under many user names, blueplatinum among them. Here she is, going back and forth with whom I believe to be none other than Barbi Benton:

What Holli doesn't seem to grasp is Hef was *madly in love* with Barbi and went to great lengths to keep his other girlfriends/sex partners (like Karen Christy) a secret from her. She was an extremely important part of his life for years. The is a huge difference between how he regards Holli as compared to Barbi. He didn't require a trio of pretty puppet-women *pretending* to be girlfriends back then. I do think Holli seems to care for Hef though. Obviously Holli felt totally insecure over Barbi and it burned her up to hear them reminiscing. She realized even more so that she doesn't have anything like they did. Barbi on her worst day blew Holli away physically and Holli has a personality like a cardboard box. Barbi is like 55 now and still a knockout.

Barbi knew about Karen. In fact there's footage of Hef and Karen going to events and traveling together. Karen was in Chicago and Barbi in LA. I think Karen left first then Barbi. Karen has been married for almost 30 years and has 2 kids in their 20's. She lives in Oklahoma.

Hef said Barbi was the first woman he was ever really in love with. Barbi considered herself a "one man woman" but she accepted that Hef had sexual interactions with other women. When she finally grew tired enough of it *and* when she found out about his *relationship* with Karen Christy (because of a white hair pin) she left him. I believe the point Barbi was making (and that I'm making) is that she would not put up with other *girlfriends* or relationships. She knew full well he wasn't sexually faithful. He was madly in love with her and did his best to keep Karen Christy a secret.

I don't think she was rude. I think she was intentionally playing up on the obvious insecurities of Holli. Barbi lived life with Hef. They traveled together, did a show together, she found the mansion for him, etc. She didn't stay holed up in a mansion with a 9pm curfew like a puppet-woman.

WRONG BluePlatinum. Karen Christy knew about Barbi. Barbi *did not* know about Karen Christy. Hef shuttled Karen Christy in and out of the mansion *secretly* so Barbi *wouldn't* know about her. He claims to have loved Karen Christy greatly too, but Barbi was the first woman he was ever really in love with. He continued his relationship with Karen Christy after Barbi left him. He tried to patch things up later on with Barbi and then Karen left him too. I can point to sources to back up my statements if need be.

So can I dear. If Barbi TRULY didn't know about Karen then it's a little strange that there's movie footage and photographs of Hef and Karen traveling together on the Playboy jet, and during the drug probe/Bobbie Arnstein mess. More importantly WHO CARES! Barbi and Karen have been married for over 25 years and Barbi has lived a very privledged life with her real estate developer husband. Although he's about to go to prison for tax evasion.

BluePlatinum:

Try getting your facts straight before you go around trying to correct people.

In two seconds flat I found this:

"Karen knew about Barbi, of course, but Barbi didn't know about Karen."
http://www.playboy.com/worldofplayboy/hmh/hefsladies/christy.html

I'd be happy to reference page numbers in Playboy books (not magazines) when I get home if need be.

Why do you find it so hard to believe Hef kept Karen a secret from Barbi? That is common Playboy knowledge for goodness sakes. Get over yourself.

Wrong again. He pleaded guilty to OBSTRUCTING a federal tax investigation NOT tax evasion.

A petty point, but I can't stand it when know-it-all types rattle off a bunch of nonsensical inaccurate BS.

And your point is what lauriestum? He cheated the IRS out of $130K in taxes that's still tax evasion sweetheart. Get over yourself honey, I never called myself a know it all but you seem to want to have that title so you can have it. BTW, if you really believe that Barbi didn't know what was going on then I will sell you the Brooklyn and the Golden Gate. Quit trying to start a pi$$ing match this board has been flamed enough.

Not at all, but I think Barbi was/is awesome. I've read all the Playboy books, watched interviews, read online articles and have hundreds of vintage Playboy mags. I find Hef and the Playboy empire quite fascinating. Watch some episodes of Playboy After Dark if you have the chance. You'll see the huge difference in how he treated/acted with Barbi and how he does with Holli and the other puppet-women now. I think Holli acted like an insecure little girl around Barbi (and for good reason). The only thing she didn't do was stomp her feet.

My point is you are a blowhard know-it-all, but you get the facts all mixed up. I don't care what he did or didn't do. You said he was going to prison for tax evasion and he isn't. Keep posting your false info. if it makes you feel good. It is interesting that as each of your false statements is proven wrong you just avoid addressing it again. You never want to admit you were wrong. You're a knucklehead. Best of luck to you!

Then she should admit she is not right instead of trying to correct *me*. She shouldn't make false arguments based on personal speculation rather than facts. I didn't reply to her post. She replied to mine trying to tell me Barbi knew about Karen. The bottom line is I just can't stand blow hard know-it-alls trying to correct me when they're wrong. From the quick look I've taken around here it seems she's done this to several people.

Thanks guys for taking up for me. Sweetie I don't think I'm better then anyone else in this fourm nor do I always proclaim to be always right. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but I'm not going to get into a battle over semantics with you. To parapharse AS GOOD AS IT GETS- "Sell crazy somewhere else. We're all stocked up here!"

BTW Even Playboy gets their own history wrong. 2 examples touting Lindsey Vuolo as the first Jewish Playmate when there had been several others, and just last month they misidentified one Playmate as being another.

Go back to your playpen. Do tell what other "false info" am I posting?

Jeez.... Who cares what they could have gotten him for? HE IS GOING TO PRISON FOR OBSTRUCTING. It was a *petty example* I was using to show that this BluePlatinum states false facts. She has stated repeatedly on the board he is going to prison for tax evasion. HE ISN'T. I really don't care what the man goes to prison for. My real argument with this Platinum individual was over his/her false statements regarding Barbi Benton knowing about Hef's relationship with Karen Christy. The prison thing was nonsense.

NOBODY has to agree with me (although I'll bet there are lots of you who do even if you won't admit it!!). If you read the thread you'll see it was blow hard know-it-all BluePlatinum who first tried to CORRECT ME with his/her inaccurate statements.

> BTW Even Playboy gets their own history wrong. 2 examples touting Lindsey Vuolo as the first Jewish Playmate when there had been several others, and just last month they misidentified one Playmate as being another.

God help us. I've heard interviews where it has been explained that Barbi Benton was not aware of Hef's relationship with Karen Christy. SPOKEN WORDS. Not Playboy misidentifying Playmates.

I'LL SAY IT AGAIN: You shouldn't have replied to my original post trying to CORRECT ME when you were DEAD WRONG.

WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.

Cause I think it is fun proving know-it-alls wrong. You should ask yourself why you support the person who originally replied to my post re: BB & KC (had nothing to do with the silly prison thing) attempting to correct ME although I was 100% correct. Why does this BluePlate person get away with going around doing that to others on the board? Does it burn he/she up when people actually stick up for themselves? If a person is going to go around correcting someone don't you think you they should at least know what the f*** they're talking about? This was fun and all kids, but as Robert Plant sang "now it's time for me to go". Everyone have fun.

Laurie how were you able to post, I thought a house just fell on you! BTW I do believe that BOTH ladies knew or suspected what was going on. I looked at the link you provided, even that was a little embellished "Barbi's flourshing singing career". I think Barbi Benton is a beautiful woman one of Hef's most beautiful girlfriends along with Carrie Leigh, but her singing career was hardly a success. I think almost all of her albums were on the now defunct Playboy records if that tells you anything. Let it go Laurie.....
