Dunno how relevant this is, but the time on the clock is approximately the number of players this game started with (1:32)

I was about to post this, but I see the topic is already made.

Yeah, that's a good 1:32 observation. Also, there's 12 teams and 12 numbers on the clock.

I think it will be like last challenge: every team says an hour and you need to land your hour thingie into a circle without falling in with another Team.

Those are mango colors.

i doubt that.
it would be freaking stupid to have two challenges in a row that are pretty much the same thing

Also maybe it's unintentional but the borders of the 3 and 9 circles are much thicker than the others

I had realized that, but I dunno if it's relevant.

Possibly a meaningless observation, but those circles around the border remind me of a rotary telephone.

ANNOUNCEMENT - Due to the length of challenges so far and the possibility of the clock challenge taking a long time (it might, it might not... but it might >_>), I've decided to postpone it. Instead, there will be a shorter challenge next.

So NEW clue for NEW next challenge:

"Even Jeff Probst and Julie Chen would need to do research..."

Just goes to show Machete's leak about Challenge 5 was right. Unfortunately, I don't know anything more than it's stuff we have to look up online. I hope it doesn't end up with all teams having a perfect score.

as long as people actually try, challenges involving researching online will have all teams with perfect scores

Week 4 is up. I'd love to help answer some of the trivia now, but I'm busy again for the next few hours. I know that sounds like a convenient excuse, but I really am busy.

It is trivia. Off the top of my head:

4) Name the Survivor players who said the following quotes upon being voted out… (note: 1 point for each correct answer)
a) “DAMN!!” -Chicken (Survivor: China)

5) Every season of Survivor features a unique intro/opening sequence with a customized music track, which plays as the players are shown/named. In which season’s opening sequence could one hear military marching drums in the background?

Survivor: Palau

Alright, I'm done procrastinating for now, I'll be back on tomorrow.

I know in one early-ish season of big brother, there were identical twins on the show

Also, Rachel and her sister were on (different seasons of) big brother

And i think russel was on survivor while his brother was on big brother

Btw, I'd like to say that I have never hosted a challenge this US-biased. It's true that many of these questions are things people in the US wouldn't remember anyway even if they watched all the episodes of all the seasons of both shows, but I still think ot's US-biased and the hosts should know better.

Okay, I actually got home earlier than expected. I will work on getting all of these answers eventually.. probably before I go to bed.. but does anyone care if I play inFamous Second Son some more first? I didn't get to play it yesterday night or this morning/afternoon and I feel like I'm at most a few hours from beating the Hero story (including finishing side stuff).

Well this is pretty hopeless

wandered around the wiki a bit and found this http://bigbrother.wikia.com/wiki/Big_Brother_8#Round_2 (note: http://bigbrother.wikia.com/wiki/Eric_Stein calls him "America's Player") which may pertain to question 2... but I don't know the show well enough to tell if this could actually be right or not

Kirby, want to double-check these while I play inFamous? <_<

Re: Research

Here's a couple of our answers so far:

8. Dr. Will (BB Season 7, week 3 veto ceremony, episode 9)
9. Aras and Vytas Baskauskas (survivor27), Russell and Willie hantz (both), Adria Klein and Natalie Carroll (BB5), and Michael Ellis and Jennifer Dedmon (BB5)
10. Osten Taylor - Pearl Islands(Boston)

8. From the searching I did, it seems correct

9. All those pairs are correct, though considering the existence of the bonus there are probably others as well

10. Depends on how exactly you interpret "the city that he/she is from". The wiki says this about him Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, Osten Taylor now lives in the South End of Boston.

Man I've seen some survivor here and there but no BB at all... This challenge is kinda weird. I always think of ES as its own thing just taking pages from these shows and to include them in the game is wrong
Offline Profile Quote Post Goto Top

radman9000

1. 9th (Libra Thompson)
Offline Profile Quote Post Goto Top

radman9000

3. I counted 5 on the wikipedia pages that list the contestants from both shows and their place finishes

6.
a) Jonathan Penner
b) Jessie Camacho

Okay, finished with Infamous Second Son (Hero Story). Will look at these questions more in-depth within the next half-hour then compile our updated list of answers and send them to FvP and (if he confirms our alliance by that time) Kero. Swiftblade's already said the alliance with Scorpio seems good, but I want to wait on official word from Kero.

Hopefully Scorpio also has something to give us as Taurus did.

Yay for Googling trivia of stuff I have never watched.

Okay, here's what we have so far:
(questions included for easy reading)
(I have verified all answers here)

1) A player from either Survivor or Big Brother shares the name of one of the ES2 teams. In what place did he/she finish in his/her original season?
9th place (Libra Thompson in Big Brother 10)

2) When I went for an involuntary “swim,” America became a member of the jury... What am I?
Chima Simone's microphone (Big Brother 11)

3). How many players who were the first to be voted out in their respective seasons finished in odd-numbered placements (Survivor and U.S. Big Brother combined)?
7 (Jessica DeBen in Survivor 14, Nina Acosta in Survivor 24, Sheryl Braxton in Big Brother 2, Brian Hart in Big Brother 10, Braden Bacha in Big Brother 11, Annie Whittington in Big Brother 12, and Keith Henderson in Big Brother 13)

4) Name the Survivor players who said the following quotes upon being voted out… (note: 1 point for each correct answer)
a) “DAMN!!”
Steve "Chicken" Morris (Survivor 15)

b) “Scumbags…”
Judd Sergeant (Survivor 11)

c) “Oh, you guys!... That’s good… That’s really good.”
Andrea Boehlke (Survivor 26)

5) Every season of Survivor features a unique intro/opening sequence with a customized music track, which plays as the players are shown/named. In which season’s opening sequence could one hear military marching drums in the background?
Survivor 10 (Palau)

6) Name the following Survivor players based on what they’ve done before or after their time on Survivor (note: 1 point for each correct answer)
a) Long before Survivor, I was in the pilot episode of a 90s CBS sitcom starring Fran Drescher.
Jonathan Penner

b) After Survivor, I starred in a low budget horror flick taking place on Alcatraz. Even major Survivor fans might not recognize me though. I was not on Survivor for very long.
Jessie Camacho

c) I’ve been on Survivor more than once. I’ve even hosted my own reality show… but there were many more guns on it than in Survivor.
Colby Donaldson (Survivor 2)

d) I am literally interchangeable with person c) because that description fits me as well.
[NO ANSWER YET]

7) How many Survivor tribes have worn either blue (any shade of blue, but not turquoise or teal) or orange (must be orange, not gold) as their tribe color? [BONUS POINT: Name an orange tribe and a blue tribe that are both named after the same kind of animal. I only know of 1 pair, but will review all submissions in case there are others I don’t know about and award the point if/when applicable.]
[Note: in a few cases, colors may be ambiguous on some sources, so I would recommend confirming/ruling out ambiguous colors by checking multiple sources.]
[NO ANSWER YET]
Bonus: [NO ANSWER YET]

8) Name the Big Brother player who received 0 votes to evict despiting asking fellow houseguests to be evicted and saying “I hate all of you…”
Dr. Will Kirby

9) Name 4 Survivor/Big Brother players who have had siblings also play either Survivor or Big Brother (includes siblings who have played on the same show or on the other show, even siblings who have played on the same show on the same season. Also includes half-siblings). [BONUS POINT: Name ALL players who qualify]
1. Aras Baskauskas
2. Vytas Baskauskas
3. Russell Hantz
4. Willie Hantz
5. Adria Montgomery-Klein
6. Natalie Montgomery-Carroll
7. Michael Ellis
8. Jennifer "Nakomis" Dedmon
[ANY MORE NEEDED FOR BONUS?]

10) Name a quitter whose name rhymes from the city that he/she is from.
Osten Taylor (Survivor 7) (officially "from" Boston according to Survivor, so it's probably the right answer, but it's not his hometown or birthplace)

Since Machete is accepting the "best PM," I'm thinking on a couple of those numerical answers we could also send PMs that go 1 over or 1 under on the number, in case we or he messed up. With 9 people, we could cover all 1 over/under possibilities on 2 answers because 3^2 = 9.
