Machete's machetes might be good, but he might be like "hurr durr you can't control them" (@Dream, I don't understand your logic behind what you said about this option) idk what hodor is and if it's a good option i'm gonna kill machete The tranquilizer gun might flat-out not work. The shield would seem safe, but Machete being more of the offensive/crazy/aggressive type is what makes me doubt it. Grenades seem good, but they might run out or kill me in the end. The dildo...at first I didn't even consider it, but this is Machete we're talking about, so the dildo is probably the best weapon. And that's why I love him. |

The first one is hilarious and Machete couldn't possibly punish anyone for picking it. I don't get the 2nd one. It seems dumb Machete might react to the 3rd one shittily, and going by the johnny depp thing, I don't think movie references are that good of an idea The last one is probably positive...then again, you might lost points because you have to pay for the LSD |

I'm going with a) Mr. Bomb's homeland... Australia. b) Demand to speak the leader of the Velocirpators. f) A big, floppy rubber diIdo a) "... I wanna hang out with my wang out!" You might still convince me that the middle 2 are bad ideas though Edited by Choco, Feb 16 2015, 11:06 AM.

These two should definitely go together. I'm not really super confident with any of the 7B plans (and 7B is the most important choice, hooray), so I suppose your choice is as good as any. Us three all picking different plans should ensure we don't all die at least. I can't wait to see Scorpio's forum once this is all over to see how the hell they tried to rationalize this challenge. |

The dildo sounds good, so long as I wasn't somehow right that it's actually a ducky and Machete was trying to fool us. But maybe the velociraptor leader will appreciate the rubber ducky anyway. But yeah, I guess just send it. It's not like we can logically deduce anything better. |

Sorry to disappoint you, but Swift and Coc have both mentioned that it's a Chatzy. Remember this is basically Grey Team we're talking about; they use Chatzies. That means by the time Scorpio is eliminated (hopefully 3 votes from now) the information about this challenge will have disappeared due to new conversations since then. |

On this note, I'd like to view Mayo and Machete's conversations about this challenge more than I'd like to view Scorpio's. For instance, how did Machete rationalize all the options and their effects to Mayo? After all, I'm sure they review each other's competition plans and have been doing it all along. (Not.) |

"At least one player has been eliminated" This sounds like one of those things Machete would say when he's feeling smug satisfaction about someone in power suddenly losing all that power. I worry that with speaking to the raptor leader being "foolhardy" that Choco is gone. Then again, Machete didn't say nobody picked Robes, so maybe if we're lucky it's only whichever Scorpio was dumb enough to pick Robes that got eliminated. Also, Choco should've gone with what Cody said.. because he's Cody and always wins things. But that's just hindsight. In an alternate universe Cody might've messed up and then I wouldn't be saying anything about going with what Cody said. |

I wonder if Machete would've made these point rewards/punishments so extreme for Chapter 7 had he not already known whatever the point disparity was after Chapter 6. Edit: Well Cody barely gained anything, Baruch gained a few hundred, and Choco stayed where he is (regarding 7B/C), so I guess we did okay. No clue how Scorpio is doing though. Choco also did well on 7D, so that's good. Machete hasn't given any intel on 7A yet in the topic. Maybe it'll be via PM? Edited by Dreamwalker, Feb 18 2015, 06:24 PM.

Do you really want to go back to the velociraptors? I mean it's Machete so who knows what he'll write, but it seems like a bad idea to me. Then again, the crabs are inferior to the velociraptors and I don't see the Canadians being able to conquer them both, so that would only leave Machete writing a solution. And if you tell Machete to write a solution, he'll probably say something like "You want me to write a solution? Well you're eliminated. That's the solution." except in a more Machete-like manner. So 8A-B is really a bad choice no matter what. |

I asked Coc how he got eliminated and he said he picked Robes and Tranq. Now if Gemini wins this challenge and Coc ends up getting Coc eliminated, it will be a perfect homage to Shock. I asked him why no one stopped him from picking Robes and he said that he wasn't talking with anyone about this challenge and doesn't even know what Scorpio's been picking. I think this is good evidence that they didn'tuse anything like out Ch6 strategy. |

Auron tells me he has more than 4500 but not over 8000 points. He had gone all-in on Mayo during betting earlier and got lucky. Checking the old topic, it seems the Mayo betting odds were 4:1, so that means he quadrupled whatever points he had. He also says he still has all 3 uses on his damage controller. So if he's being honest, I feel there's a good chance he has quite a lot of points. Swift, by comparison, is way behind. And Coc said he went down to like 800 before he got eliminated. Baruch - BCCC, +450, -250, Southwest, 200 CHAPTER 8B "This is stupid..." grumbles Mayo. "Why?" You ask. "You're from around here. You know the area right?" "I'm from the Phoenix area," explains Mayo, still annoyed. "Did you even bother to figure out where you where when you entered that Wafflehouse?" "Well... no..." You say honestly. "The f***ing Phoenix area," replied Mayo. "Granted, we're not there anymore. We're in New Mexico now... but we haven't travelled that far at all. We were supposed to get away. Far away... we have NOT gone far at all..." "But this is Machete's chapter!" You plead. "He's from like Massachusetts or something. How could I have known I wasn't THERE before?" Mayo scoffs and rolls his eyes. "Hot, dry climate? Cacti? Look... Machete's brain broke. Somehow he got the ability to ignore the laws of space and time." "Spime," corrected Machete. Mayo frowned and rolled his eyes again. "The point is... we're still in the same general area, probably near where they make that show Breaking Bad..." "Better Call Saul actually," corrected Machete. "IT'S A F***ING SPIN-OFF THAT TAKES PLACE IN THE SAME AREA!" Yelled Mayo. "A F***ING AWESOME SPIN OFF!" Corrected Machete. "The first half of the first episode is weak, but it makes you wait for the good s*** and when it gives it to you... you realize 'This show is for real' and I can't be more pleased! That's based on the 2nd episode also! I didn't watch the 3rd episode yet, if it's even aired. This monday holiday threw me off. F*** Presidents' Day. What's the point of that?" You begin to wonder if you made a mistake... "SEE?! WHAT'S YOUR PLAN NOW?!" Shouts Mayo. CHOICE 8B-A a) Find a scorpion. Crush it and smoke it... b) Call Saul? >_>... c) Go far away. You didn't realize you didn't go far... d) Score some blue meth... e) Go to Washington DC to ask the president why he has a day... "Hang on," says Machete. "We gotta make a sale. We need money. MAKE A SALE I SAY!" He pounded his fist against one thing or another... CHOICE 8B-B (Note: this choice precedes 8B-A and will be counted as such) a) Sell some water. It's hot and dry around here. b) Sell some meth in Walter White's territory because f*** that guy. c) Sell English lessons to those who don't speak it. d) Sell a random car you stole. e) Sell the state of New Mexico to the Mexican government. |

8A-A: I'm not sure if by telling the truth it means your choice will be what happened, or that one of the things is the thing that happened and you shouldn't lie to Bomb by picking the wrong option. If it is the former, then A seems good, but if it is the latter, then B or D seem most likely. 8A-B: I don't like any of these either. Definitely don't pick the Canadians, and Machete writing it screams bad idea too. 8A-C: A definitely seems like the best choice. C might also work, since Top Gear has been talked about a lot in the topic recently. |

Well, it seems we weren't very good at that challenge. I'm not sure HOW one is supposed to be good at that challenge, but either Auron and Swift were or they just got lucky (what I find more likely). So Auron will be making nominations and will get to name the replacement nominee too. Our only hope to not lose a Gemini this round is that Mayo could hide some kind of special power. Though if he did that, Scorpio would probably feel like it's BS to keep Gemini alive, but in theory they have the same chance to find any power that Mayo makes so it wouldn't be BS as long as Mayo already planned to have the power regardless which team won Overlord. Oh, but Mayo probably wasn't planning ANYTHING this week cause it would've been Machete in charge of planning. So yeah, we're basically losing someone. I'd say "best of luck to all of you", but that's like wishing luck to both teams playing a football game. It's nonsensical, unless you're just talking about luck that they don't get any serious physical injuries during the game. On the bright side, at least next week's Overlord competition should be 3-2 in Gemini's favor because Scorpio will be sitting one of their 3 out. |

I was going to say Auron was dumb for nominating you and Choco instead of competition beast Cody, but now that I read the forum here I guess Auron made the right decision to nominate you. Anyway, despite the minor displeasure in me for not seeing the item myself, I am very pleased that Gemini has a chance at continued survival and I'll do my best to help the team on whatever challenge Mayo cooks up this evening. |

I remember neglecting to contribute any strategy to this challenge as well, so it figures the item would be there. I'm on my phone, so maybe you already answered this question and I didn't notice, but what is the item or power called and how long did you have to use it? It would've been funny if you kept the item around until the F4, won Overlord that week, and then used the item to become Rebel instead so that you could still be safe but also get to choose which of the other two people to eliminate. |
