Imagine Legos

In a computer

Where things move

And you can go underground

And make things out of other things

And where you can kill...wait for it...
...
...
...
...
Zombies!
And Creepers and Skeletons and Spiders and a multitude of other enemy targets.

You can also use Mods to create towns with actual people (NPC's) and you can go into the Nether (aka Hell)

One of the best games ever.

I've tried minecraft. This wasn't the impression I got while playing it. For the 30 minutes I was on it (most of the time spent building a brick house because I had nothing else to do), I was bored out of my mind and confused as heck as to what the point of it was. I mean... You build crap. Then tear it apart. You dig under ground, where all the blocks look the same. The graphics are horrid compared to a majority of other games. I never came across any NPC's. It just seemed like a boring 30 minutes to me. I don't see the appeal.

To get NPC's you need to get a mod for them. They sell them with the different patches. The point is to use your imagination and build something you want to build. In my house on minecraft, I've built the main house that also serves as a guard station with a roof used as a weapons facility and look out. I've got a tunnel that leads to my growing room and upper study. I've got other tunnels that lead to bedrooms, and a circuitry room. And I'm currently working on building a guard tower. The point, honestly, is to blow stuff up and make it different. And kill things (like creepers).
