This will be our first RPG on the site, and I'm excited to start it. In this RPG, the world, as we know it, has ended. WWIII has broken out, and everyone 18 years of age or older has been sent out to fight. They all died. The streets are bomb ridden, and there is little food. People are just trying to survive. And when I say people, I mean kids. Any character under the age of 10 will need an additional character with them (Because let's face it, a 5-year-old is not going to be able to defend himself from pretty much anything)

There are the rich kids, who think they can own everything. There are the bullies, who think they can just beat everyone. And then there are the kids in between, who are just trying to live. Will they exist simultaniously? Or will they all kill each other?

He smiled as she stood up, releasing her easily. "I'd be happy to," he told her, as he, too, climbed to his feet. He was a little taller than her, but not by a lot. His memory flicked back to when she'd tried to pick up the slab of meat she'd cut and hurt herself. "But you need to promise me one thing," he conditioned. "Promise you won't use that arm?"

She laughed, sarcastically then asked how she was supposed to finish this task without both arms. And how could she, after all, even if she had had both arms to use? The meat was already showing signs of needing to be chilled or cooked, and she didn't know how she was going to be able to cook some of it and get the rest put away before it did start to spoil. She stood at the counter, the meat before her on the counter, the boy standing behind her, and then asked, "Well....?"

"Well, you'll just need my help then, won't you?" he said with a smile, stepping up to the counter. "You're fridge still work?" he asked, collecting up the meat she'd had putting it in a pile on the counter. He then went in search of a container of some sort. Hell, he'd even settle for plastic wrap.

"Yes. The fridge works in the middle of World War III, when I don't even have electricity to walk through the house at night." She replied sarcastically, while she cut the meat into similarly sized strips. She put down the knife, wiped her face with the back of her hand, then looked at him, lifting an eyebrow, a sad expression on her face. "I'm sorry..... I shouldn't- there's salt in that cabinet." She was pointing to what looked like a pantry, and was on the other side of the kitchen. "I use that to dry my meat." She took a deep breath and sighed. She looked back down at the meat and slowly reached for the knife again. As soon as she had grabbed it, she was back to mechanically slicing the meat, and making a pile, all with her eyebrows creased and her right arm resting by her side.

"Hey, it's cool. I know some of the electricity works. I heard rumors that it was still on in the Rents, I wasn't sure about here," he replied. When she pointed out a cabinet, he went over to it. There was a large bag of salt on the middle shelf. "This it?" he asked, pulling out the bag. He set it on the counter next to her as he went back to rooting around for containers. If the fridge didn't work, they might be able to bury the meat to keep it cool. He knew that's how they used to do it way back when.

She saw him grab the bag of salt and set it down, but then he was looking for something else. "Yes, that is it. All the salt my neighbors' empty houses had available. Also, if you are looking for something the meat can go in, I am afraid I don't have anything big enough for all of it. I had planned on using whatever plastic containers I have and cooking the rest for tonight. They are in the drawers by the dishwasher and some are being used outside in the cellar- you wouldn't know where... I can show you after we fill these." She continued slicing the meat and was relatively close to finishing. She set some aside and promptly went to grab a pan and headed toward the well which was outside and called over her shoulder, "I may need help carrying this back inside; It will be full of water."

He'd never salted meat before, so he figured he'd just wait until she showed him. He quickly followed her to the door, giving up the search for containers. He could bet he'd find enough room for all of it, girls were notorious for terrible packing, but she was right. She would need his help. And he wasn't about to let her rebreak her arm.

Drew
After calming Julie down a little, he left the room. Jake was getting worse, and Drew knew it. He could see from the fear in Julie's eyes that he had spent far too much time harassing the child. He didn't even want to think of what he may have done to Celine or Jenny. He walked down the stairs, looking for Jake. He found him crouched in front of Jenny, Trevor holding her still. No, that was enough. "Hey, the kids freaking out, and she's starving. She needs someone to calm her down," Drew said, hoping to distract Jake. It worked.

Jake turned around to face Drew. Drew could see a bruise beginning to form on Jenny's cheek. What had he done to her? She didn't seem to care, her expression determined to get up to her sister, straining against Trevor's grip. "Well that's what I sent you up for!" Jake howled angrily.

"I don't know her! How am I suppose to help?" Drew snapped back, throwing himself in Jake's face. This was about to get dangerous, and Drew knew it. Good luck winning, he thought to himself. You know how good Jake is. What are you doing?

"Well... Are you coming?" she asked before walking outside. Her intention was to gather some water in the pan to cook the meat then show Cam the cellar. So far, besides the complications with her arm, this evening had been like any other evening in which she actually had food to pack away. She walked over to where the well was and began filling the pan with water. When it had enough water in it to keep the meat from burning (when it would be cooked later) she waited for Cam to come outside. Then she would show him where the cellar was before they went inside.

He quickly followed Celine outside where he saw her at a well. He thought he heard someone in the distance, but he couldn't tell so he decided to ignore it. He smiled at her as he reached down to pick up the now full pan. "Nice well you have here," he told her, admiring it. "Weird, for being in the Suburbs, but it is on the edge so I guess it's not all that weird," he commented as he lifted the heavy pan.

Drew
After a moment of silence, Drew looked over at Jenny. "Send her up there," he told Jake, flinging his arm at Jenny like she was a ragged dog that he wanted to get out of his face. "She knows the kid, she'll know how to calm her down." Jake wasn't buying it. "Besides, it's not like she's doing anything anyway." Jake hated uselessness, especially when things needed to be done. Drew saw a shimmer in his eyes. He found his way in. "Unless you want to take the time to go up there and talk the kid down yourself, and we all know how great you are with kids, then send her up there because I can't fix it."

Jake turned and looked over at Jenny, who's face was carefully blank, looking up at him. She was waiting for an answer. She wouldn't do anything until she had it. His eyes looked over all of the guys he'd brought with him, watching Drew challenge him. He couldn't do it himself, and he knew it. But if he let her go, Drew would win and they would all think they could challenge him. He made up his mind. "Fine, but one of you go with her," he said. Drew nodded saying nothing. Jake glared at Jenny until she stood. He grabbed the front of her shirt and yanked her close. "If you do anything to make her fight, I can guarentee you I will kill her. I'll do it painfully, flesh wounds. I'll make you sit in the room and listen to her scream. Do you understand me?" Jake whispered so low that Drew barely understood it. Jenny nodded, tears in her eyes. "Good," Jake scoffed as he took Jenny's arm and threw her at Drew. She stumbled before Drew caught her by the shoulders. "Get her out of my sight," he said as he turned around. Drew guided Jenny upstairs.
