This will be our first RPG on the site, and I'm excited to start it. In this RPG, the world, as we know it, has ended. WWIII has broken out, and everyone 18 years of age or older has been sent out to fight. They all died. The streets are bomb ridden, and there is little food. People are just trying to survive. And when I say people, I mean kids. Any character under the age of 10 will need an additional character with them (Because let's face it, a 5-year-old is not going to be able to defend himself from pretty much anything)

There are the rich kids, who think they can own everything. There are the bullies, who think they can just beat everyone. And then there are the kids in between, who are just trying to live. Will they exist simultaniously? Or will they all kill each other?

Morgan {the Rents}
Morgan ignored the venom in the girl's voice and shrugged, "I didn't know you would make a big deal out of it. Anyway, I was just passing by. I can't stay in Downtown forever you know." Morgan sluggishly walked around the girl, keeping the gun in handy in case she attacked.

Jenny [The Rents]
"And why not?" she asked, her eyes following the girl closely. She didn't like the look of her at all. "You did a good job of doing it until now," she reminded the girl. She didn't want to cause the girl to attack her, but she didn't want to allow the girl to just walk away. And she didn't know who else was around, who could get hurt by her walking out. Also, it might give the other kids the idea that they can just walk out whenever they want. That wasn't going to end well. Especially if all of them had guns, which she didn't doubt.

Morgan {The Rents}
"Okay, if you're really going to get on my case. I'll tell you something, I'm not going to stay. I'm going up to the Suburbs. I don't know if I'll actually make it, but why the hell not?" Morgan sighed and turned around, "Heh, heh. This isn't going to end well"

Jenny [The Rents]
"The Suburbs?" she asked, following Morgan with her eyes. She didn't like the sight of the girl, and she knew people were softer in the Suburbs than here. Of course, why should she care, it's not like she was in the Suburbs, so it wouldn't bother her. "Why would you be going there?" she asked. She would stick out like a sore thumb in the Suburbs, there would be no way of hiding that she was from Downtown. Everyone would know who she was. Maybe that's why she was going.

Morgan {The Rents}
"I'm going to start fresh," Morgan said slipping the gun into her baggy pockets, a small smile on her face. "And if I don't like it there, I'll move on to the Up-town and so forth."
The breeze calmed down, the leaves stopped whirling on the concrete. A glint of light caught Morgan's eye as she bent and picked up a penny. The year of 2013(?) branded on the small piece of copper.

Jenny [The Rents]
"You're going to start fresh?" she asked the girl, a smile trying to form across her lips. "You think you can start fresh in the Suburbs? Let alone Uptown?" she continued. The idea was almost laughable. A girl this one, even a girl like Jenny, would never be able to start fresh in this town. Jenny might get a new start Downtown, maybe in the Suburbs, but this girl? No, she couldn't get a new start there. She might have a chance here, but Jenny wasn't planning on letting her stay. This girl would stick out in those rich neighborhoods. Of course, no one cares about anyone but themselves there as well, so she might fit in just fine. "You're choice," she told the girl, turning around. The word 'choice' could just have easily been 'funeral' in Jenny's mind.

Morgan {The Rents}
"Are you doubting me?" Morgan said slowing down to a stop, "Would it make a difference if you tried to do the same?" The last word almost came out as a hiss. Morgan refocused on the sidewalk in front of her, the penny held in her tightly grasped fist. "I'll try, and again, I said I don't know if it'll work out the way I wanted, but at least I tried."

Jenny [The Rents]
She stopped and turned back to the girl. "I never did catch your name," she recalled, choosing to ignore the comment about Jenny's chances at starting over. In all honesty, Jenny would probably have a better chance at starting over than this girl, although Jenny wanted to know why she was so keen on starting over. Had this girl done something? If that were the case, she wanted her out of her neighborhood as fast as possible and away from Julie. She didn't want to have to deal with that in her neighborhood. She didn't care where this girl went after that, all she cared about was that she was gone.

Jenny [The Rents]
The girl didn't answer, so Jenny turned away. She needed to get Julie and get out of here. The girl on the street had made her realize that everyone wasn't going to stay in their respective sections of the city now that they didn't have to. Almost, if not all, of the adults were gone now, off to fight a war. The first place people from Downtown would be coming was here, and Jenny was far to close to the boarder for her comfort. Jenny needed to leave to protect Julie, and the safest place to go was the Suburbs. They might be able to blend in there. Jenny walked quietly up the stairs and opened the door to her apartment. "Come on, Julie. We're leaving," she told the child.

She looked up with sad eyes. "But what about Mom and Dad?" she asked.

"I just got a letter from them. They said they'd meet us on the other side of town when they got back. We need to get over there right away," she said quickly, thinking on her feet. "You don't want to miss them do you?" she asked. Julie hopped up quickly and shook her head. "Good, now get some clothes and put them in a backpack. I'll gather up the rest of the food and we'll get out of here."

In less than an hour, they crossed over into the Suburbs. Finally, maybe I'll be able to get some peace and quiet here, Jenny thought as she looked for a suitable house for her and Julie. The little girl looked beat.

Celine(Suburbs)
Shrewd and silent. That was the way Celine stared at the mouse across the room from her. Food in her neighborhood had been scarce for a while now, and, afraid of starving, Celine reluctantly put her skills to work. Slowly, silently, she aimed the dagger, desperate for some sort of meal.

She had already finished her piece of dried meat, but had split it into rations in hopes she would find food sooner. She hadn't. Her stomach growled just enough for the mouse to pause eating the mold for a second, and Celine panicked. It was now or never. She pulled back her hand, ready to throw the knife when she heard rustling outside the window. The sound had made her gasp and the mouse squeaked away.

As if defeated, she looked out the window to see a girl about her age walking with a younger girl behind her, closely resembling each other.

"Damned grifters," she mumbled under her breath. That was the last straw. She stormed to the door and outside.

"There is NO room for your down-town filth here! Unless you have food to hand over you will leave."
