This will be our first RPG on the site, and I'm excited to start it. In this RPG, the world, as we know it, has ended. WWIII has broken out, and everyone 18 years of age or older has been sent out to fight. They all died. The streets are bomb ridden, and there is little food. People are just trying to survive. And when I say people, I mean kids. Any character under the age of 10 will need an additional character with them (Because let's face it, a 5-year-old is not going to be able to defend himself from pretty much anything)

There are the rich kids, who think they can own everything. There are the bullies, who think they can just beat everyone. And then there are the kids in between, who are just trying to live. Will they exist simultaniously? Or will they all kill each other?

Jenny [Suburbs]
She heard a yell coming from the house and looked up from the well. The cup in her hand was almost full as she turned to look at Celine. She was telling Jenny to get inside. A confused expression crossed Jenny's face as she looked at Celine. What was going on? Was it a trick? But the expression on Celine's face was genuine fear. Then Jenny heard the howl. She looked off at the wood that surrounded the Suburbs, not knowing what might be out there and what might be coming to attack her. She backed toward the house, slowly getting faster and faster. She turned and raced to the house, stopping at Celine. "Lock all the doors and bar them shut. I doubt we'll be leaving tonight," she told Celine as she looked out at the forest. She went inside and set a glass by Julie, who hadn't woken from the screams, before making her way to the front door and locking it herself. She now just needed to find something to brace against it.

Celine (Suburbs)
She deadlocked the back door before turning and running upstairs. Sure they might be in danger from some crazed coyote, probably sick and looking for a filling meal, but could she really bypass this opportunity for food? No. She gathered her uncle's hunting equipment and went downstairs, hoping to make and set a trap before the coyote got there. As she stepped into the living room, she saw that Jennifer was still locking all the doors, afraid. She wanted to tell her about the plan to catch the coyote, but was, frankly, afraid of Jennifer having a nervous break down. Note to self. Don't scare house guests... Was I really that scared-looking? she thought. Yes. Yes I was. she decided.

Without a second glance, she headed toward the back door; she needed to put out some bait. She had planned to sneak out and back in without drawing attention to herself... Then the floor squeaked.

She finally found an end-table to place against the door when she heard the floor squeak. Jenny shoved it as close as she could before turning around, thinking Julie might have woken. Instead, she saw Celine heading toward the back door with what looked like hunting supplies. "You think you're going to be able to kill that thing?" she asked. Yes, she didn't know what was out there and Celine knew the area better than she did, but she doubted it was safe. She also didn't want to have to leave anything unlocked for Celine to get back through that might leave a door open for other things.

She turned at the sound of Jennifer's voice and took a step toward her.

"I honestly don't know but I don't want to miss any opportunity for food. You are welcome to help me make a trap, but I can't guarantee your safety. Without food we will die, anyway."

She didn't hesitate before turning and fast-walking to the back door. She held it open for a moment, in case Jennifer was quick to agree.

She hesitated. To go outside would leave Julie unguarded, but it would also mean that Julie had food when she woke up. If she didn't go, Julie would starve and nothing Jenny could say would change that. If she did, Julie might be killed. Jenny looked at the small girl. She didn't really have a choice, did she? "Let me get Julie someone more protected, then I'll be right out," she told Celine as she scooped up the child, heading for the stairs.

Jake [Suburbs]
He pulled his pistol out of his belt when he heard a yell. He didn't like surprises, but then again, it could be interesting. Jake started walking toward the noise, being careful to stay out of sight. He moved to a house that seemed a lot more active than it had the day before. A girl was walking out the back, but she paused before leaving and looked inside. Waiting for someone? Jake waited around the corner where she couldn't see him and watched.

She decided she would wait outside and start setting up the trap. She hurried to a spot by the well and crouched. As she laid the supplies on the ground, she took her knife out of her pocket and tied it to the string, and, in her hast, cut herself.

"Damn it!" she yelped in pain.

The coyote howled again, this time closer. She finished securing the knife and ran to the house. She knew she would need Jennifer's help if she was going to finish this in time. She looked down at her hand, now sticky with blood from the cut on her left palm. She yelled for Jennifer to hurry and come out.

Jenny [Suburbs]
She set Julie down in the attic and ran back downstairs just as Celine yelled for her. "What do you need?" Jenny asked, just as she noticed the cut on her hand. "What happened?" Jenny asked. Then she saw the knife with fresh blood on it. "What were you planning on doing?" She tended to be rather quick to judge mistakes. It was necessary when raising a small child.

Jake [Suburbs]
He smiled as the blonde girl cut her hand, blood oozing from the wound. The red liquid invited him closer, but as she yelled to another girl, Jennifer, he remembered he needed to stay hidden, at least for now. A new girl, brown haired, came outside and began questioning the first. She sounded like an overworried mother, to say the least. Jake narrowed his eyes at her. He didn't like her from the start. Too many questions for her own good. As the girls became distracted with some project on the ground, Jake sneaked up to the door they had left from and quietly went inside. He leaned against a wall opposite the door and leveled his gun to the door, waiting for them to re-enter.

"I was just trying to set up the trap, you don't have to get all judgemental. It just hit my hand when I took the knife out. No big deal. Can we just get this trap set up before something else happens? Like, I don't know, a coyote attacking us and putting us all in danger because of--" She looked up to the house. "The door you left wide open?"

She leaned down and began to work on the trap, while trying to remember exactly how her uncle used to secure it to the ground. She hurriedly fetched water to bait the trap with the concave bowl attached to a trip wire that had been in the heap of supplies.

Jenny [Suburbs]
She turned around and looked at the open door. "But I-" she hadn't left it open. At least, she didn't think she did. She wouldn't have been that careless with Julie inside. She shook her head before shutting the door. She must have just forgotten when she saw the blood. Blood made her worry. "What do you need me to do?" she asked, lending her hand to Celine.

Jake [Suburbs]
He listened to the girl's conversation outside. Pretty boring. It sounded like they didn't even know he was in here. Good. He was starting to get worried when the brown haired girl came to close the door, but she didn't see him. Stupid cunt. Just then, he heard a noise upstairs. He followed it. A young girl stood at the top of the steps, rubbing her eyes as if she'd just woken up from a nap. "Where's Jenny?" she asked, in that stupid little kid voice that drove him nuts. She looked a lot like the brown haired girl. "Who are you?" her voice wavering. Jake put his gun away.

"It's okay. I'm a friend of Jenny's. Come on down and I'll get you a glass of water," he told her, hating himself for sounding so damn caring. But he knew he had to get her downstairs if he was ever going to use her.

She hesitated. "Okay," she said after a short pause. She was as stupid as her sister! She started slowly walking downstairs. Jake kept his hand on his gun. He had a plan.

She watched as Jennifer shut the back door, then she, herself, walked back to the trap. As she attached the bowl and trip wire to it, she remembered she still had a piece of meat she hadn't eaten yet. That would be perfect for luring the coyote to the trap! she thought.

"I have a small piece of meat inside under the couch. I think we can use it to bait this... I forgot about it which is why I was going to use water." She dumped the water back into the well after detaching it from the contraption. "Would you mind going and getting it, please? We don't have much more time."
