Cal believing current Naruto is his favorite series makes me not hold his opinions with much value, no offense to him if he reads this, BTW.

Well, it's a well written series, in the sense that there aren't very many plot holes and the story flows nicely, which must be given credit due to how many other shonen miserably fail in this aspect. However, the faults I see with Shingeki (AoT in Japanese) are prevalent throughout the entire shonen genre.

Shitty protagonist (Eren), asspulls (which I can't what they are because you'll be spoiled), and a lack of actual death in the series just makes it meh in my eyes.

Would you still say it's one of the better series' out there, so far?

I guess, yeah. It's better than Bleach and Z, IMO.

Sounds like you just have an issue with Shonens. Yet you have spent a large part of your time talking about Shonens. I feel like people just enjoy the complaining all the time nothing is ever good mentality. For me, that bugs the shit out of me. But I think a lot of people think its cool to not think anything is cool. I hate that shit. Nothing against you personally but that's the feeling I'm getting. Some are just committed to the negative sphere of things. I asked you about what anime's you liked to which I never got a reply and instead decided to make more negative comments about something you established ready. Now I don't know if you are doing this consciously but its ok to like things and think things are awesome. Its cool to think things are cool. They lied to you jack. Now tell me your top 5 anime's pretty pretty please if you can manage a positive thought for a second :)

I think it's only fair to judge someone if they've seen a lot of anime. For example, I've only seen DBZ and the FMA's, so I still think DBZ is a fun watch. Only read one manga, so I still love it. I don't think to judge is fair. Everyone has opinions.

Wait, you asked me? Sorry I didn't reply, I didn't see it.

And I see how it could come off as a problem with Shonen in general, but I don't believe it to be. I love the idea of a story spanning multiple arcs, each introducing new power ups and new badass looking characters. Believe me, I really do. I just feel like most shonen mess this up halfway through and become somewhat unreadable. Take Bleach, for example. Bleach has an awesome first arc. It was firing on all cylinders...then when that arc ended, the second arc was a repeat of the first, with some added cheesy romance, major pacing problems, and an innumerable amount of asspulls. The arc after that is quite horrendous, and you'll get this same response out of pretty much anyone you ask on here, even diehard shonen fans.

I spent a long time on shonen, but it's not like I did that while consciously disliking them. It's just that after time, I realized they weren't all that great. I also see where you're coming from with the negativity. Doesn't really help me that I profit off being a negative prick, but I don't ever go into something just to point out flaws.

As for Top 5 Anime...I'm not really sure I can name 5. Counting films?

Mine would look something like:

Ghost In The Shell (Movie/Seinen)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Series/Shonen)
Baccano (Series/Seinen)
GITS: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG (Series/Seinen)

Worth noting that I'm currently watching Neon Genesis Evangelion (starts off as a shonen, then delves into seinen territory) and it'd definitely be somewhere in my Top 5.

Maybe even my #1 when I finish with End Of Evangelion.

I've said before that Grid has developed a lot better taste than when I first saw him... But he nitpicks quite a bit more now, too.

I know a couple of his favorites are Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Ghost In The Shell.
