Even so, what's their not to say that Gohan's "Mystic" power isn't a different reserve from his SSJ power?

That's a good theory but I don't think SSJ rely's on Potential at all.

You may have just answered your own question, assuming I'm reading this right.

Don't see how that's the case here.

My point is that the SSJ and "Mystic" flow of power are 2 different things like SSJ and Kaioken is for Goku.

Nah mang. Elder Kaioshin tells Gohan to turn SSJ, which he visibly was unable to at the time. He was even surprised when he found out that he was only in base. Ghey seem to stem from the same power source.

Could be that he accessed a different flow of power instead of SSJ.

Isn't that more conjecture than what I'm suggesting? Where has it been suggested that people have more than one source of power?

Goku having SSJ and Kaioken.

Even if it is conjecture, it's still not contradicted, theirs pretty much nothing to go against it and I see no reason why not to believe it. Theirs a lot of other conjecture that's used frequently and is accepted by the DB community, I don't see the problem.

Its the same source of power dude, and its called ki.
Kaioken and SSJ are just different amplification techniques.
Well, Kaioken is an amplification technique and SSJ is a tranformation, but the same applies. Both increase the source of power (ki) in their own way.

This is like me saying that Mr. Briefs was secretly stronger than all the Z Fighters and could've killed Boo whenever he wanted to, but didn't because it'd increase his blood pressure and Mrs. Briefs isn't a fan of that.

Both use ki undoubtedly but they don't necessarily have to be the same source of power.

Only thing is that's completely absurd and unrealistic. It's just as conjecture as saying Piccolo is stronger than Kaioshin despite nothing to prove it and yet people are completely sold on that idea. Again, I don't see the problem here.

If I feel like arguing Freeza > Saiyans, then Piccolo > Kaioshin becomes very realistic lol. There is actually not as much conjecture as you may think.
