Coming to you from Lyn, Rose, and myself, we present... The Inkies Dragon Anthology This is a conglomeration of short stories, poems, and illustrations, all concerning dragons. And all written or drawn by YOU. That's right, by Inkies. Write short stories, poems, draw illustrations, and get them all polished and edited and ready to submit. On December 25, 2006, we will open up to submissions. As it draws closer, we will update with you with further information, such as where to submit your work to, etc. Several things: 1. You may submit as many pieces of work as you would like. 2. Not every piece of work will be selected. It must pass a panel of judges - Lyn, Rose, and Mara - and only the best will be accepted. 3. Submit things in their final form. Submissions will be ongoing for an indefinite period at this time. 4. We will most probably be asking an outside adult (undetermined at this time) to read through the selections we have picked to give their opinion before we make a final decision. Yes, we are hoping to publish this. More details concerning that will be announced as they are smoothed out. And if this works out, there's a possibility that another anthology might be in the works.... Do you have any questions or comments? Feel free to ask, and we'll do our best to answer! |

Bonfires dot the rolling hills Figures dance around and around To drums that pulse out echoes of darkness Moving to the pagan sound ... I can see the lights in the distance Trembling in the dark cloak of night Candles and lanterns are dancing, dancing A waltz on All Souls Night | |

Possibly. Probably. Yes. ![]() Try writing short stories about some of them. Or sketch them. Etc. |

Yes, yes, Padme! Do try! There's no harm in trying, and you never know! You've nothing to lose, and everything to gain!
That goes for everyone. Garak... refrain from using language like that, if you please. |

*uncomfortable silence* I think the dragon idea is a very good one. Do you want us to just write stories and stuff? What about how-tos? (When encountering a dragon... How to fly a dragon...) Opinions, such as Eid's on how no self-respecting dragon is purple? Shall this be a collaborative effort, or simply different people submitting whatever they feel like it and we'll hope it'll all sound good together? |

Well, I was thinking mainly stories and poems... Lyn... any ideas, thoughts, comments, whatever...? Basically, you submit whatever you want, and then decisions are made as to what would work best for the book, fitting them together as best we can, etc. Does that make sense, or do I need to figure out how to explain myself?

How interesting. I'll even have time to work on it, if I try...maybe I'll put my two sans worth in, maybe not. |

*BUMP* Yuppers, getting close to allowing you to submit it. Getting a place for submitting it up and stuff, soooo... stay ready and keep an eye out for further information concerning this. You will be given formatting information and where to send it, what to include, and all that jazz. Submissions are unlimited. Poetry, illustrations, short stories. We want lots and lots of dragon stuff! Sincerely, Mara, Rose, Lyn, Roberto, and Gen... your editing staff... |

I just finished a (rather quick and highly stylized) drawing of a dragon.
It's pretty neat, though a little unpolished at this point.

I have one poem all complete. I have a short story I intend to finish shortly and another poem that might be able to write itself (I never know if I am going to be able to write a poem, sometimes I can, sometimes I can't). And there are probably a few stories I can pull out of other material I have. |

Your paper cut the air above the tundra When you came back in silence and sheets And the neighbors called me up Out of my sleep To watch you unfold the blanket.
