It is quite amazing. My dragon looks like a dog.
I'm still submitting it, as horrible as it is.
Unless there's some rule against it. *taps foot* Hurry up with those guidelines, Mara!

I have a question about the Inkies Dragon Anthology, if I may interrupt.... How long are submissions open, because I just joined and just started on my short story. Another thing, what does Inkies classify as a 'short story'?

You aren't butting in. Thank you much for bringing it back on topic.
Actually, submissions haven't started yet. December 26th is when they're open. As for definition of a short story ... if it seems short storyish to you, it probably will to us. Just no mini-novels.

That's what usually happens with my short stories... Hm.... I'll try to do a short one. How long do submissions run after December 25?

I don't think we have an actual cut off date, as yet. At this point we're just aiming for as many submissions as possible.

Okay. Even though they're short, short stories usually take me 1 or 2 weeks to write.

Same here.
They require a lot of crafting, really. Everything has to be exact ... no room to experiment or ramble like in a novel.

I do that a lot. That's what makes shorts so hard for me.... But I'm going to try! :fight:

Yeah, it's hard for me, too. Short stories have to be precise and to the point...and that requires a lot of thought, no wasted scenes. Good challenge, though. |
