Skinchanger Because of his Stark heritage, and thus his northern blood, Thorys possesses sporadic skinchanging abilities, coupled with odd and rather cryptic green dreams that seem to haunt him at night; he often sees things that were, things that are, and things that have not yet come to pass. His skinchanging abilities do not extend to a specific animal, and Thorys does not fully understand his nature as a warg. He has slipped into the skin of lesser creatures, frequently by accident or during sleep, and has not yet gained the clarity or learning to be able to control his own abilities. Out of fear, Thorys' skinchanging abilities is kept a complete secret, with only his mother, Everdeen Stark, privy to the depth of his potential.
High Intellect Thorys is bookish to a fault, so says his lord father, Orys Baratheon. He spends most of his hours studying and reading old and historical tomes, in particular the history of the First Men, and the children of the forest. Ever since he was able to read, speak, and write, Thorys has been learning, and does not intend to stop. He is exceedingly bright for his age, able to learn what he puts his mind to at an alarmingly fast pace as noted by his tutors, and a fact that his parents take immense pride in. He has exceptional aptitude in the areas of language, literature, mathematics, history, sciences, geography, and strategy. He is quick-witted, and is a keen problem solver. His intelligence is compared to his uncle, Darys Baratheon, to which Orys japes that he is likened too much with.
Potential Warrior While the art of war is the least desirable thing on Thorys' young mind, the ability to hold a weapon and defend yourself is something that his lord father has drilled into his mind since he was old enough to walk and hold a stick. Though Orys' warrior-like mentality has not been passed onto Thorys, his aptitude for the nuances of combat are not lost on his second son. Due to Thorys' capability to learn skills quickly, he has been trained to know how to wield a sword, shield, axe, and hammer with at least some measure of skill and, while just a boy, Thorys is aware of how to defend himself despite lacking the strength or necessary experience and skill to take on a fully grown man. Despite his apprehension for combat, and his rather pacifistic nature, Thorys trains every single day with his tutors in order to become as masterful as his father in the art of war.
Psychological Profile Thorys Baratheon, nicknamed Wolfsblood by those in the Stormlands, is the second son of Lord Orys Baratheon and Lady Everdeen Stark. A product of the Baratheon and Stark lineage, Thorys bears a physical resemblance that amalgamates the two bloodlines into one soul, and thus possesses unique traits found only in each House. While Thorys looks just like his father - the black hair, the broad frame, and the strong physique - he has just as much of his mother within him, and most notably possesses the misty, almost icy eyes of a Stark which stand out above all else, and is the reason for his widely known moniker. For a boy of ten, Thorys is an exceedingly sharp-witted and bright child, gifted with an intellect that astounds his mentors, and quite possibly surpasses them. He has a calm disposition by nature, perhaps even aloof, yet while he is slow to anger, when roused he bears a terrible wroth that makes him remarkably similar to his father; a sign of his Baratheon blood. While close to his father, Thorys is very much his mother's son, and is likened in personality to Lady Everdeen and her Stark siblings rather than Lord Orys himself, and even secretly keeps to the same gods that his mother's House keep to, the Old Gods of the Forest. Though this is mainly due to the connection he and his mother possess, it is also partially due to the fact that he possesses latent skinchanging abilities, abilities that have as of recently begun to manifest in the form of cryptic green dreams that even Thorys cannot yet fully comprehend. His essentially magical ability is kept an utmost secret by Thorys and his mother, who he confides in about all of his dreams and experiences. Known to his family as a quiet, yet lively, bright, and fair boy with a good heart, Thorys is a child that is wise beyond his years yet still too naïve to the realities of the world around him. While the world has not yet begun to change the boy's perceptions, his prolonged exposure to skinchanging and greensight has begun to have a profound effect on his psyche.
