Just a brief description and guideline on Non-Player Characters (NPCs).

Overview
Everyone is able to roleplay Non-Player Characters (NPCs), so long as it is in reason. For instance, a House Lord is capable of roleplaying his own soldiers and men throughout a thread. A roleplayer may choose to roleplay any of their own soldiers and men (meaning those that are affiliated with them), but forbidden from dictating the actions of another House's and/or roleplayer's. A vagabond, for instance, may have hired mercenaries and so they are that roleplayer's to control.

Any roleplayer can also choose to roleplay 'one-off' non-player characters, such as peasants, travellers, thieves, and beggars that they may encounter on their journeys and travels.

The only real rule regarding non-player characters is that once someone else has stated that they're controlling them, another roleplayer may not do so. They can interact with the NPC, but all of their actions are solely determined by the roleplayer that initially introduced them.

Administrator control of non-player characters
From time to time, an administrator may take control of a vast group of NPCs that are necessary for a certain plot or storyline that is occurring. If an administrator does enter a thread in which they are controlling a certain group of NPCs, they will clearly announce it.

For Example:
If an administrator is joining a thread in which they are controlling a group of Goldcloaks, they will announce it as such:

The Goldcloaks

[Roleplay for the Goldcloaks here.]

Alternatively, the Lords of Houses, both Custom and Great Houses, may also roleplay a vast group of their own army similarly to the way in which an administrator will. They must announce it in the same way as an administrator, and take on the role of the group that they will be roleplaying.

This will hopefully expand the roleplay and make it more realistic, introducing diversity and realism.
