| | Skills and Attributes
Archery Growing up within the household of her uncle, a soldier inside the Martell Man-At-Arms, Nymeria was keen in learning archery and watched him practice every day. Her adamant pursuit of picking up a bow eventually lead to training by her uncle. Her uncle noted she had natural talent with a bow, which has been further refined over her years.
Swordsman With a rough bazaar for a home, Nymeria is no stranger to fending off unwanted attention. From a young age, her uncle insisted she learned to better defend herself and taught her the basics of handling a dagger.
Falconry Upon learning the identity of her father on her eighteenth nameday, Nymeria left the security of Sunspear's high walls and ventured through Westros in pursuit of meeting him. During the journey she found a young, injured falcon. After nursing the raptor back to health it became her travelling companion named Valor. The two appear to have an uncanny understanding of the other, to the point that Valor seamlessly integrates itself into any type of combat Nymeria is involved.
Huntress Initially based upon the strong bond between the two, Nymeria became an efficient tracker and hunter in her own right and is capable of following a mark through the thickest of forests with pin-point precision.
Horse Riding Though no true master of horse riding, Nymeria is capable of travelling on horseback alone. |
Psychological Profile For a girl from humble beginnings, none who have crossed her path can deny her honour and integrity regardless of having no glory tied to her name. Her honour-bound characteristic is not only carried through in her actions as a warrior, but as a woman. Having great pride in her maidenhood, Nymeria has kept herself pure for marriage. Despite avoiding promiscuity and flirtatious behaviour, she often finds herself the attention of unwanted suitors and yet - true to her blood - they find themselves victims of her quick temper accompanied by threats of castration. Some may see her quick temperament as a weakness to be exploited, yet Nymeria holds it as an asset to be channeled on the battlefield. Wielding her fury like the finest of blades, she acts ruthlessly toward enemies with a degree of semblance to her father. Her nonchalance to violence shells the true reasoning behind her actions. To her core Nymeria is hard-headed and stubborn. A silly girl playing at war may be the consensus of some due to her physical appearance. However, her indomitable will and outward strength make her to be a formidable opponent and yet, attributable to her softer touch, the most dependable of allies. Uncharacteristic to how she comes across in combat, Nymeria is soft hearted, gentle and kind; often going out of her way to help others. Though hailing from low society, Nymeria carries herself well in speech by remaining polite and respectful to those she is addressing. She particularly finds herself self conscious in the presence of the Lords and Ladies of Westeros, fearing she may reflect negatively on her father. |
