My nation works like a well oiled machine. It functions together for a goal of efficiency and sustainment. Each individual goes through school where they are taught academic courses and military science. During this time they also go through combat training. Later they go through a school for specialization. Money isnt really existant except in concern with foreign nations. The military provides its soldiers in the form of food and clothes. Everyone works in seperate areas to insure the state continues to move forward. Being a citizen is an honor.

Statocracies are realistic. Sparta was one. Everyone is in the military, that includes production, logistics, combat, medical, construction, etc.

Sparta also had a military of about 10,000

Their City-State Size was under 40,000 considering full citizens. Your nation is modern and has a population of nearly 5 Billion.

I did a little math for you because of that, just to show you what this is like. Your total Defense Budget is about $11,461,009,558,709.25. Decent amount. However, if your population is approximately 5 Billion, and one tenth of your nation is in the military that means there are 500 million military personnel. Now take you defense budget, divide it by 500 million and you get about $22,292. That means every soldier is paid that measly wage, and thats just if you use all your defense budget on paying soldiers. That would zero out your ability to purchase new weaponry. Purchase new weaponry and suddenly your soldiers don't get money, and then you have millions of deserters. Your soldiers, at the current budget get measly pay and crappy training. Your soldiers will get absolutely slaughtered on the battlefield plus having a low morale.

My soldiers aren't paid. Their housing, food, and clothing is furnished by the state. My government, police force, and civilian population are part of the military. Which means all the funding that goes in police and other categories are attached to my military. The government controls the flow of resources and foreign money. There are no official corprate entities due to the fact that all resources and materials are overseen by the Logistics and Productions Legions, and thefore by the upper echelon of my military and government.

Im a stratocracy with a state regulated and controlled economy. Think of my nation as an Army overseeing a territory. Everything needed by the people is produced by the Production Legions and handed out and transported by logistics. Its completely plausible. Even the Rome was at one time a Stratocracy.

Oh okay so your soldiers are basically slaves to the government with no money to purchase any luxury good. Without one tenth of your population purchasing luxury goods your economy is probably wrecked.

Nep, this isn't even close to being realistic

Like I said money doesnt exist. Things are produced by the people from government orders. Resources are state owned. Which means without having to pay anyone or even pay for the resources they can transport and produce huge numbers of goods. There is no poverty in this system. People get what they need to survive. Outside companies dont trade with any Neplesian corporate entities. They trade directly with thr government.

actually he's state is somewhat like the city states of europe or the rus empire. its possible to do but in modern times would not be sutainable. you can also have a country that doesn't use money, but a credit system. I mean trading with other nations might go differently but within your own nation you could render money useless

It's a sustainable system. People just don't use it because it cuts down on individual freedoms and there's nothing in it for them. People are about gain and are greedy. Of course this system wouldn't be used often in our world.
