Map Claims

By Neplesia

We've decided to use an updated claim map of the regions old RP map. The original map was created by Droth [Aka Neplesia], with several continents added by Itsaria who also designed the claim territories. Initially each individual will only be able to claim one territory, and while it would be nice if people could expand immediately that won't be the case. The region has yet to decide if we will use a pay system for expansion or a strict RP system. So until that occurs everyone will not be able to expand. Feel free to participate in other forms of roleplay until the poll is closed. The vote can be found here.

Having said that.. Claims will be processed on a first come first serve basis. To save the Cartographer [Itsaria] and myself a ton of work it might also be a good idea to look back through the previous claims to make sure you're not claiming land that's already been taken. If there is an issue with a claim please contact myself [Neplesia] or Itsaria to correct it.

Since in turn we have finally established our new map its time to claim territories.

To start out, and I'm sure Neplesia or Itsaria will take over on managing this, we will only claim ONE territory. Why?

Right now we are still figuring out how expansion would work. Will it be through a pay system or RP? This so far is undecided so in turn means expansion is not possible at the moment. Claim one territory and one territory only. You cannot reserve territory for future claim, you only officially get territory through proper routes.

So go ahead

Parts of the map have been updated according to IRC conversations and Real World discussion. These changes concern Neplesia, Ruescher, Pajaritos, and Siphus.

ILU signatory nation
This is currently being RPed, the small island above territory 90 and below territory 93, is the island of Gondor and is being disputed between Saxoiy and the ILU.

Is it possible for the island to be controlled by an organization.

I'd like #6, and for future reference, I plan on expanding to at least 7 and 8.
In black with red borders, if possible.

Technically we don't even know if the map is Rp for territory or Pay for territory yet. If it is RP for territory I would imagine that at some point people would get angry with you claiming so much territory and would gang up to stop you.

Yes I believe at this point the vote stands for RPing for territory. That being said what Basra mentioned is a very good point and adds a greater flavor of realism to the setting. Though I will say that you can only RP for two territories at a time unless a very good reason is given. Not many nations can afford so many fronts in a conflict.

The vote stands at 1-3-3-1 to Pay per territory-RP for territory-Mix-Other. Judging by the results so far I believe that It would be best to have a mix that favors roleplaying more than paying. Maybe something where you need to pay some money to start a roleplay thread. Or have paying for territories be a few thousand dollars while roleplaying is free.

Put it this way, you can RP for two more territories, then pay for the rest?

If everyone else could stay off the northwestern island, that'd be great; I've got a massive RP in the works, and it requires that area for a large NPC nation. Or could I just have this nation 'claim' that area. I can assure you that Alterena has no designs on the majority of the island; I'm going to re-write my nation's backstory such that this island would be a catalyst for regional events.

If I could be so bold, the nation's name is The People's Republic of Shtovostok, and its colors would be blood-red with black borders (the opposite of Alterena)
