The werewolves are an old race, as old as vampires in fact. They are generally considered enemies of the Coven, though some will turn a blind eye if encountered accidentally. Their prosecution is a controversial subject, especially considering the only reason they aren't considered allies was the failure of their ancestors to arrive in time to sign the Treaty. The reason behind this is unknown and great fuel for the conspiracy theorists. A werewolf may be either born or converted intentionally by another werewolf. Artums and Vampires are naturally incapable of being converted and Spirits have no body to bite.

Werewolves are noted for their ability to transform into wolves. Their Navis fuels this change and is deeply ingrained into their bodies. Even as a human they possess great levels of strength and speed, just slightly sub-par of a vampire of equal power. Transformed into a wolf they become even faster, with higher senses and powerful jaws and paws. With great effort a werewolf can go into a 'war form' half man, half wolf. This form contains both immense strength and speed though rational plummets considerably. As a werewolf gains more power and more navis is channeled into their body their physical levels increase even further, become more resilient, and gain more control. The resiliency is often highly under-rated by novices. Werewolves typically have extended lifespans and age slowly after adulthood, some living just a shy over two hundred years old.

One of their primary downsides is the fact that they are incapable of utilizing Navis in the form of Hexes considering all of their excess navis is channeled into their advanced physical forms. They can however be inscribed with Hexes just like anyone else, but given the unique nature of how their navis is utilized this sacrifices some of their speed and strength. Often experienced werewolves feel that this sacrifice is insignificant at their power to warrant obtaining abilities to cover up weaknesses(flight and abilities that can be ranged are popular amongst the elder Deltas and above, and few can deny the fearsome appearance of a war form werewolf engulfed in flames it can control, granted one must make a deal with an Artum to be sure it works well...). They are the classic warriors and tankers of The Night Calls.
