Noteworthy Hexes and information regarding character Hexes:

A Hex user has no true limit on the number of Hexes he or she may learn. The limit lies in knowledge and power. One must understand enough to execute it and the power to back it up. Some hexes are easier to learn than others, while some are exceedingly difficult. Most hexes are grouped together by similarity and go by different terms. Some of the more popular terms are Schools or Chapters(given that in a Grimoire they may be divided as such) but no formal term is official. A School of Hexes contain an assortment of Hexes to produce variations of similar hexes. For example a Fire School may consist of a dozen or more hexes, each to manipulate fire in various ways of equal power. A given School will take up an Ability slot. Unique hexes of large power may be separated from it's Chapter and take up a slot by itself, such as Consume, since they are considered to be as strong as a whole school. A given school can grow with more hexes and more power and evolve through several ranks(E-S). Individual hexes of large power are given a similar scale. The Rankings will determine how many slots you have for Hexes and the likes, but remember that both upgrading and learning new ones require training and practice.

Common and Noteworthy Schools and hexes:

Fire: A generic school for manipulating fire.
-Consume A-ranked: Engulfs a whole city block in an explosion of flames and carnage.

Alter: A group of hexes that can change the properties and shape of matter.

Electric: Zap em dead.
-Roar A-ranked: Generates multiple lightning bolts from the sky to barrage a target.

Barriers: defense all the way.
-Heavens Gate S-ranked. The ultimate defensive move that forms a large golden gate reminiscent of the 'pearly gates to heaven'. It can shield pretty much anything and requires so much energy that it typically requires three or more lords to execute.

Chaos S-Ranked. The ultimate offense. It
generates a black wave of energy that destroys everything in it's path. Only Heaven's Gate may stop it.

When listing the school of hexes you know, be sure to flesh out and detail what they allow you to do collectively.

Enchantments: In addition to Hexes, a character(any char really) may possess inscribed enchantments on their body or possess enchanted objects. Enchantments may be made on the fly if a person has the right materials(Spirit Ink) but they will fade quickly. If carved or tattoo in the ink will not wash away(even in metal) and will become permanent. Permanent enchantments are much stronger than temporary ones. The amount of enchantments a person can hold is relative to their size but considering this for the most part is an insignificant difference. Effectively everyone save Werewolves can all hold the same maximum enchantments on their physical body which would be seven(each limb, both sides of torso and head). Due to the transformations of werewolves they can be inscribed on three different bodies without interference, since the spirit ink bleeds through all planes of existence and reaches the spirit itself all the enchantments may be used at once. Essentially werewolves can have 17 enchantments(seven on human, seven on war form, and three on wolf form due to the limbs being to small for hexes), certainly making up for the lack of ability to use Hexes.

Enchantments naturally can only be made by those with the ability to use Hexes. They are also significantly weaker than their active counterparts and their effects can only be created by those who have a corresponding School(cant do it with a normal hex then they cant do it with an enchantment, better find someone else to make it for you). In addition if you cannot support the Hex if you knew it, then you cannot fuel the enchantment. Witchlings cannot run around with 7 Ranked-A enchantments and just own everything in site. Similar with enchanted weapons, gotta be the same rank in order to utilize it. If you are not powerful enough for a specific enchantment then it will not work for you. In the case of passive ones it can be outright lethal since it will activate no matter what. Once you get a permanent enchantment it is hard to upgrade to a higher rank and even harder to remove, chose both your enchantments and your timing wisely.
