All new members must read and review these rules. It may look somewhat lengthy, but it's not bad once it gets down to it. Also, after reading the rules, you must contact an officer to promote you. OOC Channel rules 1. Swearing in the OOC channel is allowed, but not entirely tolerable. Swear at your own risk. 2. No discussion of politics or religion in the OOC channel. 3. No disrespecting or 'shit talking' should take place in the OOC channel. Alternative Character Rules 1. Tribesmen of the guild are allowed to bring one other alternative character into the guild. 2. Second tier members (Braves, Mistwalkers, Sunwalkers) and above are allowed to bring three alternative characters in the guild. 3. All alternative characters must meet the guild’s level requirement and go through the standard in character recruiting process. 4. All alts must be tagged as an alt, or with the player’s main character’s name. 5. All alts that remain inactive for ten days will be removed from the guild. Forum Rules 1. Do not spam. Ever. 2. Swearing is allowed, but not in horribly excessive amounts. 3. No images or links to porn or things of a graphically sexual nature. The Proboards TOS doesn’t allow that sort of thing, and so neither will I. 4. I will not tolerate fights on the boards. Take it to PM, take it to IM, take it anywhere that is not on the boards. If a fight is started, everyone who posts in that thread will be automatically banned. This means if you see a fight, do not post unless you are staff. RP Conduct Rules These are the things that will apply to roleplay in the actual guild. 1. No chatspeak in guild roleplay. This means no lols, ‘She r so like awesome.’ 2. OOC comments are to be kept to the OOC channel we created. 3. No one worded posts for guild roleplay. All posts must be four words or longer. Also, please end your posts sentences with question marks, exclamation marks, or periods as needed; and use proper grammar (capitalization and so on). 4. ERP is allowed, but not entirely supported by the Tribe. If you are going to ERP, do it in private channels. If found ERPing, you are grounds for a lecture, and if the problem persists, your removal. 5. Do not roleplay in the guild channel if your character or you yourself are drunk. 6. Please have a bit of imagination. But make their back stories original and lore-compatible, for example... no ripoffs like "I'm following a clone made from the DNA of an ultra powerful race to the lifestream to stop him from crashing a meteor into the planet." Don't even joke with me on this rule. 7. As mentioned in the forum rules, show respect to your fellow guild members. 8. Do not godmod. Take damage, give people a chance to dodge, and you are not all powerful. 9. Do not RP it if you know nothing about it. Please before you assume Arthas has an army of suicide bombing wooden puppets, check here. 10. This here is the infamous leveling rule. RP fights are fun, but we can easily get a playground scenario that either leads to OOC outbursts or godmodding, which nobody wants. To settle prior disputes within the guild, we utilize a simple way to tell just how powerful your character is, so you don’t godmod and don’t get into the those long, boring, horrible fights. If you are a level one character who comes into the guild, acting bad ass, and picking fights with every single person you see, you will not win a single one of those fights unless it was arranged. That is the leveling rule, in improvised RP fights we will settle things based on the game's leveling mechanics. We are aware this rule is not infallible, so we still wish that players settle their in character disputes with an in game duel. 11. Do try to be on your best behavior in game, remember you are wearing our tabard and hosting our guild's name in your title... always try to make everyone envious of our guild. Guild bank rules 1. Please... no items below level 20. The only exception being rares. 2. No common items, all vendor trash will be removed and vendored. 3. Please place things in the correct tabs. Misc things go in the misc tab, Ores and leather go into the ore and leather tab... etc. 4. We will be happy to give you anything within reason. Do not be afraid to take things out. 5. The guild bank is built on donations. If you take things out, put stuff back in! PvP rules 1. No OOC ganking - This means that if you see a flagged person fighting a mob, don't make an attempt to kill the said person. It's not fun, and only causes drama. 2. Do not grief - This means, no 'tea-bagging', no spam emoting, no nothing. 3. Do not camp - Camping is when during events or World PvP, you wait for the person to rez and you kill them again -- the -ONLY- exception to this is when the person is absolutely killing Quest Givers and the Flight Master, in which, you may camp them until they move out of the town, and bit outside the town. You will see Hranu do this a lot. 4. If someone from the Alliance comes over and begins to flame you, quickly ask who they are and Screenshot it. Put the image on an image site (Photobucket, imageshack, etc) and give the link to the Chieftain(Hranu), in which, the Chieftain will take care of it. 5. If a forum post on the Moon Guard forums complains about how the Hawktotem works, do not respond to it. The Chieftain will take care of it. RP Event rules 1. Usually, there are rules to certain events depending on what guild we're doing them with -- The first rule is to follow the Event rules set forth by the Chieftain/officers 2. No camping 3. Once a battle is won, let the other side rez up, regroup, and attack/defend again. 4. DO NOT REZ WHILE COMBAT IS TAKING PLACE. 5. Vent will eventually be required. PvP Battleground rules 1. When in randoms or a premade, do what your specced to do. Heal, deal damage -- Do whatever 2. If PvPing with guildies or in a premade with guildies, get on vent. This is required. 3. If in Randoms, do not respond to people insulting you. If Hranu is with you, or an officer, they will make sure the flamer is taken care of. Vent rules 1. You do not need to speak on vent, if the event requires it. You just need to listen, but we enjoy your voice 2. Do not yell, swear excessively, or do any vulgar things on Vent. We have allies who come in periodically to talk with us. Other Misc. 1. Please keep in mind we boot all members after they have not logged in their character for thirty days. Youngbloods will be booted after a week, unless they have an excuse for their absence. Whisper the word "Bacon" to any high ranking member in the guild to prove you read the rules.
