I just went to my Photobucket albums to look for a picture and got a pop-up with a new offer for unlimited 3rd party hosting for home use. That is $99/yr. For commercial use they still want $399/yr. I believe that my old deal with Photobucket will run out soon and all of my links will go dead. I might re-edit at least some of my posts with new links, or save myself the trouble and pay the $99.

I went to Photobucket yesterday to grab an old picture, but the IMG code was not available, I had to take the Direct characters and add the IMG stuff myself. That worked OK, when I checked today the IMG code was back. Go figure.

Duly noted Rich

I've been repairing my bombed out posts as time permits. Photobucket disabled the album download feature shortly after hostaging the images of those who were promised free hosting. I was lucky enough to snatch some bulk albums using the original album download feature, but many pix and albums are still hostaged.

You can still download images, however it is in piecemeal fashion. Open the picture, then look to the right for the action menu. Select download image and the "save to" option appears.

One potato two potato is not speedy by any means, but I muddle along, until I lose patience. When I eventually do get an album transferred, I go back and upload what I need to imgur and then swap out the dead photobucket links in my threads/posts.

To speed things up when I am posting pictures I have an Excel spread sheet with the IMG codes for a lot of my pictures, that way I don't have to waste time going to a hosting site and finding the right pictures. In the case of Photobucket I have 40 pages of pictures. In yesterday's case the pictures that I wanted were not included in the database, now they are.

Hi guys, just a quick note.

Anyone using Imgur may have noticed the interface has undergone cosmetic and bionic surgery. I like what I see, particularly in the all "Images" view mode. Bulk picture handling & sharing looks to have been made a bunch easier.

All the best,
Michael.

Hi guys.

Has anyone tried using the bulk image links function from Imgur? I don't seem to be able to make it work correctly. When I copy the BB code tagged links they return a blank when pasted here. Looking at the links, Imgur adds the word "undefined" before the .jpg in the link. Anyone else experience this?

Cheers,
Michael.
