You know I like to work 'em two at a time...

I started with this. It's a 55 Ford that I built over 20 years ago.

Wheel swap and a color change. She's a gonna be a tribute to my favorite beer. Guinness.

Working them two at a time is just fine with me, I can double by attention span as required. Slotto, is High Heat copper lacquer the paint or a protective clear coat? I hit the google monster and it seems it's the clear. I'm not sure that this is the case with the 58. Naturally I could be wrong, it happens often lol.

Looking forward to seeing the resurrected 55 in colour although it shames me to admit that I'm of Irish decent and can't stomach Guinness!

I just noticed a side benefit of your Flickr hosted pics... if you drag the posted image up to the tab bar it opens the original larger resolution image at Flickr. Man, I love that high res glory! Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Michael.

Hey Michael, thx for checking in. I bought the high heat just for the color. I did a test shot on a spare body and it looked ok. Looked even better with 3 coats of future. I used the same high heat paint in black on my headers and it looks just as nice.

As far as flickr goes, I dont hate it. Its the same sort of process as pbucket cept flickr doesnt want to charge me...yet.

I'm real excited about the 55. I was able to make the front wheels spin as well as pose. Big breakthru yesterday. I will be using this technique on all future builds.

Shot with Minwax Polyeurothane over copper paint for high heat situations and enamel on the roof. Then after 24 hours I rubbed it out with a spent dryer sheet.
