Just wanted to drop a note that I will not be posting much over the next 5-6 weeks. Had a heart cath yesterday and I have 3 major blockages that will require bypass surgery. I've got a really good doctor and I'm sure this is just a pitstop to fine tune the motor. Unfortunately this hits right at the time the KY STLP Racing to the Future State Championships will be going. My crew is ready to jump in and they have done this for quite a while so I'm sure it will go on without a hitch. but I will miss seeing what the students bring out to the track this year.
I'll make sure to post updates as I get better. Right now I'm not allowed to drive and I'm supposed to stay down and relaxed. And no stairs, so I can't get to the slot-cave. But that's one of many motivations to get this fixed and get better.

Take care and hoping the best. Though I've never had the bypass, I did have 3 stents placed about 10 years ago. No issues since. Keep the good spirits.

Paul, More back up for Bubba..........
15 years ago I had quad bypass after failing my stress test & cath. Surgeon was called even before I was wheeled back to the room. Next a.m. I was cut in half & repaired! (4 90% blockages)
Went slot car racing 3 weeks later & was back with the band on the drums in less than a month. Just took it one day at a time & each day was better than the last.
If you want to talk my email & phone # are in The H.O.R.N. (inside on 1st page) I'm sure that you'll be fine, we're living in the future. Best wishes to you.

Many thanks guys! The support and words of wisdom are making this easier to deal with. My surgery is scheduled for the 12th. Until then, I'm restricted, no driving and no stairs. Doc said he was shocked that I'm not having chest pains or has a previous heart attack. Heart cath showed 3 blockages at 90%+ and one of them is at the beginning and end of the artery (hey, I can't make it simple!). But the surgeon was very clear on the procedure and I'm looking at this in the most positive manner. Ready to get this done and start the recovery and rehab. Pete and John, I'll be in touch.
