I am working on an article on the history of Lifelike, which goes back to the Cox HO cars. Does anyone out there know if Cox ever had their own track and if so pictures of it would be nice. AMRAC took over the Cox HO business and I have info on their cars and track. |

If you have contact info for Tom Stumpf please pass it along so I can get in touch with him. I have been told that Philippe de Lespinay was in charge of the Cox HO program and I will be contacting him shortly. I have pictures of the Cox chassis and of one CanAm car, but since I am doing a history I would like some dates for when the cars first came out and when the business was taken over by AMRAC. Today I did a search and found a picture of a Cox 1/32nd set, the only actual Cox track that I had been aware of was for their gas powered cars. I do have pictures of AMRAC, Darda, Rokar and Lifelike track.

Leisure Dynamics bought the Cox business in 1969. I have obtained pictures of Cox branded HO track, which looks the same as AMRAC, Rokar and Lifelike track. Possibly the Cox tracks were actually only sold by Leisure Dynamics and not by the original Cox company. |

I got an e-mail from Philippe de Lespinay yesterday. He did work for Cox/Leisure Dynamics and his mandate was to do a clone of the Aurora G-Plus car, but he added a larger flux condenser for improved downforce. The Cox HO sets were marketed in Canada late in 1977. |

Hi Rich. While we wait for more info on the Cox track to surface is there any chance of a pic of the G-Plus clone you mention? Is this the same chassis you refer to in post #3? Thanks. Cheers, Michael. |
