Ah ha! I thought I could smell Squadron Putty when I logged in. Headed straight here suspecting I'd find the source! Subtle differences for sure but I like the overall direction. To my eye it has a very nice flow. Thanks for the update Slotto. Cheers, Michael. |

Oh wow! Slotto, your modeling skills are more than admirable and always backed up with beautiful snaps. Thanks. What's your method for forward hinging the bonnet? I'm guessing the body ends of the hinge are set first with the carrier then attached to the bonnet from under the car with the bonnet in the closed position? Cheers, Michael. Thanks Michael.I'm really just winging it. I've made a tilt hood on a previous car and it seemed to work out well, so I thought I'd try it again. I began bending a paper clip. I trapped a piece of square tube in the middle of the bends then just kind of measured where I wanted the tilt to occur and marked the fender with a pencil. I measured in mm the distance and marked the other fender. Then I bent a hook on the ends to hold it in place on the car. Then I drilled holes in the inner fenders and hooked the latch in place. As it happened, when the contraption folded back in closed hood position, it cleared the firewall perfectly. So I taped the hood in place with the ends hooked under the fenders and glued the square tubing to the underside of the hood. If you look at the pics in post #14, it will begin to make sense. |

Got it! Thanks for clearing it up mate. I'm itching to see where the build goes. It's still summer here... we need a way to contain and send warm weather. All the best, Michael. |

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image After much back and forth, I decided to add in the skirts. They are meant to be mounted to the outside of the fender. This didn't go along with my plans so I cut them to fit inside the wheel opening and still retain that cool reveal at the bottom of the skirt. Stay Tuned... |
