Likewise here.... have tried everything I could think of and hunted high and low for a PB video solution - always hit a wall. I found several threads in non slot forums which described various methods but all were proven to not work. It's pretty frustrating because it really shouldn't be a complicated thing to do. About the best I have come up with is to take a snapshot of a frame of the video and use a photo editor to place a triangular "play" symbol in the centre. I load that frame into my post while linking it to the actual video file so that clicking the picture takes you to the PB video page - [url=video][IMG]picture[/URL][/IMG]........ not exactly an elegant solution in 2015!

Will be very interested to see what the Zeta brass reply to PP's enquiry.

Cheers,
Michael.

I have run into the same hitch with Photobucket, so for now I will just paste in the direct link. When people click on that they will go to my Photobucket and will have to click on the image to play the video, not elegant, but it works.

Not sure what you are trying to do...Here's an old one I had in Photobucket. I copied and pasted the bottom link. Click or double click on the picture, then another screen will open. Takes a few sections for it to play, but it will work... turn up your volumne, the boys were doing an engine test...RM

That does work, but on other boards clicking the picture will start playing the video without having to open another page.

Everyone, I am still waiting for a reply from Support on this question. Till I hear back from them ,,,, there are several options that you can use, one is Hilltop's suggestion, but there are several alternatives, which I will list here.......I pulled this information from Support's FAQ section, so I do not know if this info is current or not. But most certainly it is worth a try.......

Just got this in - 3/7/15 The Photo Bucket format is not supported at the moment. They may or may not include it with the next batch of improvements.......

YouTube/color]

YouTube videos work directly with the flash BBCode tag. Just take the URL from the video's page and post it inside the tag. To post this video http://www.youtube.com/v/z7SeHqxOVYc just follow the example.

Example:

Veoh/color]

Veoh is very similar to Megavideo. To post this video http://www.veoh.com/videos/v70017919aYsqTaq you need to use the “Embed” code found on the bottom right of their video page. Again, leave out the other information and just take the full URL. Place it in the flash BBCode tags and the video will be posted.

Example:

Dailymotion/color]

For Dailymotion videos, you'll again need the embed link. However rather than just the URL, you'll need to copy the section called “embed src”. It should include a url as well something that looks like “type=“application/x-shockwave-flash”. So to post this video http://www.dailymotion.com/cluster/sport/hd/video/x5173p_valparkfreestylehd_sport follow what is posted in the example.

Thanks for the update with Zeta's reply PP, along with the other video host information.

"They may or may not include it with the next batch of improvements......"
I've not dealt with Zeta Support before so am unsure how receptive they are. Do you think it might make any difference to the "may or may not" if a bunch of us contact them requesting PhotoBucket video support? I wonder if perhaps improvements are at least in part based on requests. I don't think it would be too difficult to organise for a bunch of guys here to very politely rattle the Zeta cage with PB video support requests. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Cheers,
Michael.

Jisp, I do not know if that will help or not, proby not. It is their chicken and they will feed it what they want. I am surprised that PB is NOT supported, as it is widely used................

Everyone knows that chickens need to be fed PB videos regularly or they'll stop laying. It's farming 101! Mate, I've just registered an account with the Zeta support forums and been doing a little scratching around in the dirt. Have found some posts by a guy who claims that it can be done with a "script" he wrote, whatever that means. I copied the whole thing and posted it into a test here and all it did was display the text I had copy/pasted. Not saying it can't be done or doesn't work..... I just don't know how to use it. Wish me luck....... I'm goin' in deeper.......

It's proby Java Script. One small typing error and it won't work. I used to use those little gems on another website I had built from scratch. Thanks Jisp.
