In order to protect players. Ok, it might infringe the view, but that might be a good thing! Yes, such a net would protect players from thrown objects, but not the idiots who come onto the pitch as they'll just rip a hole in it. Maybe the PFA should consider something stronger like... er... like... er.... like a fence, maybe! A nice, big metal one!! What could possibly go wrong?? Twats! Liknage: BBC News |

| Why not go the whole hog and stop those pesky fans from coming into the ground. They spoil it for the real spectators at home. |

Loads of grounds abroad have netting around the ground, mainly behind the goals. I thought it was mainly to stop the ball going into the crowd and it probably is, but it would stop this little spate of idiots. A few banning orders should suffice though. |
