No midfield.

No strike partner for Nugent.

No passion.

No commitment.

No clue.

NOT a good day on the pitch.

I don't agree that there wasnt passion or commitment. I think it was very clear everyone out there wanted it, but I think we fell well short of what is required.

Lost a few personal battles, distribution not very good, leading to no real strong flow of good football.

My concern about depth raised a few weeks ago has raised it's head sooner than I had hoped. Although saying that I am not sure having Woods fit would have altered anything.

Just thought we were out battled, second to the ball in many instances and didnt ping it around like we can.

Wasted decent chances when 1-0 up and then made to pay with two good finishes.

Still second. Bizarre old league.

All round poor performance not helped by us spurning very presentable chances. Scored with our one moment of real quality.

The depth of our striking options is a massive problem in my opinion.

Agreed. Then again, we have scored a lot more goals than I expected this season.

And the substitutions did nothing to change the play at all....Think the manager has to shoulder some of the blame for yesterday. Vardy/Waggy like for like. Dyer for Marshall...changes little.

Andy King offers very little in the defensive role...and putting him there detracts from Drinkys performance. King is at his best going forward just behind the front two...

Bit of a pig of a pitch, Peterborough's style involved inviting our full backs on before getting them turned with balls over the top. Game was crying out for an extra body in the middle so the full backs could stay back and our wingers could keep cutting in and cutting in.

Poor old Marshall, despite his goals, has a massive dose of second season syndrome.

I hate to say this, but yesterday was a huge opportunity. A win against what has been the worst team in this league would have put us three points clear of the following pack and two points closer to the leaders. But once again, at a crucial point of the season Pearson's team failed to deliver. Even with the injury to Wood this should not have been beyond us. Bad selection, bad tactics, or just a failure to inspire the team to put in a performance? I don't know, but Pearson really can't blame anyone but himself, but he will.

Coming into the weekend, I had a bad feeling and would have been happy to come out of it in 2nd place.

It was a missed opportunity, but after 5 wins in a row, we were due a defeat and it wasn't as painful as it could have been.

The key is how we bounce back... We've not got a great track record of it this year, with having runs of bad games rather than bad games in isolation... 2 (or maybe 1) FA cup games could be usefully timed.

Is that the first time we've lost after going in front in a game this season? I think it is.

Only the second time we've conceded two in a game in the last 16 matches.

Context.
