We are fine, as in should have the play offs in the bag.
Second place will be difficult with Hull having invested and Watford getting whoever they need to get to be succesful from Italy.

It will be any one of the three of us for second place and I always thought our chance would not be any better than the other two.

I think if we are to compete for that second spot we need to get in an emergency loan to cover a potential injury, but not sure that will happen.

Always thought we only have a thirty percent chance of second spot, even when we hit second.

I would have taken this situation at the beginning of the season without question.

If you don't get second I really think we have just a twenty five percent chance as we wouldn't go into the play offs ahead of Palace or Boro.

Both could beat us on their day and it really would be a lottery.

I thi k if we lose on Tuesday we might even struggle to get into the play offs. I know it's a full program and not a game in hand but even so, we still need to win and ideally win well.

We've a seven point cushion to Brighton. I can see us limping into the playoffs at worst. It all remains to be seen what rabbits we can pull out of hats in the loan market.

I don't think too much has changed really, apart from Watford and Palace getting themselves in to decent positions. There isn't much between us and any of the top 6 apart from Cardiff. No team will win every week and its probably going to be more about suspensions and injuries that sort the final order out. NFP is going to need to add a few bodies through loans and we are going to see just how good a manager He is. Personally I think He missed the boat by not adding a combative midfielder to help with our away form, sort our away form out and 2nd would be ours .

I think Fergie might lend us a hand. I'm convinced we got Keane in exchange for Schlupp, with them so far ahead we might get one more youngster.

I think for us it will be about loan signings.

And I still think he played that team last Tuesday to show the board how thin we are on the ground.

No loan signings and we look like play off material.

You'd have to be bloody minded to let your team lose to prove a point. Although NFP hasn't had the money Sven did, he has been backed. They put the money up for Woods to replace Vardy who they also put the money up for. I'm sure if He asked for money for loan players it would be available, the worrying aspect is NFP believes Wellens and Gally are good enough to fill in.

I'm not so sure they did.

We seem to have a one in one out policy going on at the mo. We saved a few bob shipping out Gallagher and Wellens for a bit and brought in Keane and Lindegard. We extended Beckfords loan and got Danns out too and the money immediately went on Woods. We loan/trial out Schlupp and get Keane for longer on loan.

I think we've got a bit of cash from flogging our young CB to Bolton BUT if we want more loans I expect someone has to go first. I assume it'll be Wellens, if it weren't for his injury I imagine he'd have gone again sooner. Neither he nor Gallagher have had a sniff of a game until injuries hit the squad, as soon as they clear up they're expensive reserves to have.

They're both too expensive that's the problem.

I don't know for sure but imagine both would have been offered stupid money when their contracts were extended. Even shipping them out on loan won't really make a difference.

If King were to be offered up for loaning out, I think a few teams would be willing to take him on.

It's the wages though Daggers. Hudds are covering all of Beckfords and I imagine a good chunk of Danns. They will also pay a loan fee for the privilege.

Wellens and Gallagher, even if 100% of their wages aren't covered by the loaning club will still represent a significant saving on our expenditure.

Wages is what I was refering to Mike.

Are Town paying all of Beckford's wages though? I would have thought 50% at best, especially as Pearson was so desperate to get rid of him.

Danns may be a bit different, I doubt we'll ever know the truth.

They've reportedly used the Rhodes cash to pay him, it's also reported that there is a cancellation fee in place too.

Not a bad bit of business.
