Official Communique from the Federal State of Ostria

Addressed to: Western national Governments || From: Federal Executive Offices of Ostria || Subject: Official Declaration of War
|| Encryption Status:: BLUE ||

Dear Sirs and/or Madams,

Today on June 10th of the Year Two Thousand Fifteen of Our Lord, the Federal State of Ostria hereby declares war upon the Ceroulian mainland. The His Imperial Catholic Majesty, Emperor of Ceroulia, Julian II's cowardly actions concerning the Kingdom of Holstein has angered the Ostrian Federal State and her Populace. However there are more reasons than just one for our act of war:

  • Ceroulia's long time provocative stance towards the Axis, and later the Empire's betrayal.
  • Ceroulia's aggression in Holstein and the Coldness of its Occupation.
  • The Forced Removal of a Monarch from his/her (Holstein's case a "he") position.
  • And finally, the Ceroulians ambition to conquer future Valorian lands which may be held by sovereign states.

Due to this Imperialistic move by Fellow Catholics onto our Catholic and Calvinist Christian Brethren in Holstein, the Ostrian State calls for the removal of Ceroulian forces from Holstein, the end of the Hallevelian-Habsburg Imperial title, and the surrender of the Kingdom of Auvernia to the Axis at the end of the war. The fight will go to your door.

Sincerely,

6 KM from the Ceroulian-Holsteiner Border,
June 12th, 2015 - 0032 Hours

As Colonel Wilhelm Tellmann of the 2nd Holsteiner Guard Regiment leaned from his mountain perch to look into the valley below, he saw the lights of Ceroulian trucks moving towards the east along the winding roads of Holstein. Tellmann smirked, as he thought, Ceroulians are damned stupid for invading. Tellmann was a Holsteiner citizen and one of many Holsteiners opposed to Ceroulian occupation, as opposed to any foreign nation's occupation to the Royal Confederacy.

Tellmann had gathered his force, mostly paramilitants and local militia forces, within the mountains before the group of 25 men set out towards their present positions just an hour before for the convoy passing below them had appeared. The men had placed remote controlled explosives along the road. The sides of the valley were lines with claymore explosives for dismounting infantry to get a facefull of lead balls..

Tellmann and his band waited silently as they saw the vehicles' lights, then the colonel detonated the explosives at one end and another as soon as the first and last vehicles were over them. The lead and rear vehicles burst into flames as they flipped into the air. Tellmann's men quickly opened up with Panzerfaust IIIs and Lancer anti-armor weapons. A few infantry squads jumped out of their vehicles and started to proceed cautiously up the sides of the valley. In a split few seconds the night for these men ripped into lead and light. The Ceroulians were shredded to pieces.

"Excellent, fellow Holsteiners," smiled Tellmann, before saying. "Time to give a report."

As Ceroulian forces faced the Vettarian onslaught in Auvernia. Ostrian and Helvanic trained Holsteiners strike out in Ceroulian occupied land. Inspired by patriotism and their patriotic duty to defend the Royal Confederacy, small bands of rebels launch series of harassing maneuvers just like Tellmann's group.
