![]() Welcome to the Mostly Harmless Pokédex, a section on the forums dedicated to bringing the community together by constructing our very own Pokédex! I'm sure that like most avid Pokémon fans, many of you also thought of your own concepts at some point. Maybe you thought of an evolution for a current Pokémon, or even a new one altogether. This area of the forums was made specifically for people like you! This is the Mostly Harmless Pokédex board, where together we will create our own Pokédex. Here you will be able to share your ideas with others, or join one of the many competitions that will be held. Competitions? How do they work? When a competition begins, a new sticky post will be created on this board. Inside of the post will be a quick explanation on the rules of the competition. These rules can be something simple, such as 'Make a Grass Type Starter' or can be more vague such as 'Make a Legendary Pokémon'. Once you are clear on the rules of the competition, you can sign up. All you have to do to reserve a spot in the competition is to reply to the post, saying that you want to participate. Once you have done that, you will have about a week to come up with and complete a concept. Once submission time has ended, no new participants will be accepted. Anyone who has reserved a spot in the competition will be given a period of about an hour to hand in their finalized concept. Once all submissions are handed in, it is time for the community to vote. When the voting stage begins, a new thread will be created where you can see all of the entries. A poll will be included in said thread and any member of the forum will be able to vote on it. Whichever submission has the most votes at the end of the voting period is the winner. If there is a tie, another poll will be held with only those submissions. What do winners get? Although there are no material prizes I can award at this time, winners do receive something for their effort. Their entry will be placed into the Mostly Harmless Pokédex alongside other winners. Additionally, the winner may be allowed to select the rules for the next contest. This will be done in PM with myself. What if I don't want to compete? Worry not! Alongside competitions there are also Free Submission threads, where you can simply post ideas for the sake of posting ideas. Inside each Free Submission thread will be an example for each concept. There are Free Submission threads for Pokémon, Moves, Abilities and Items. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to PM me either on the server or here on the forums. |
