Parasectoid's Thread made me think of this. I've had some of these for a while, so lemme know what you think

NameTypePowerAccuracyPPCategoryDescription
Heat SeekSteel90---10PhysicalSuper effective against fire types. Never misses (like swift, aura sphere, etc.)
Spectral DashGhost7010020PhysicalIf attack is successful, Pokemon is switched out (like U-Turn/Volt Switch)
HauntGhost10010010PhysicalIf a substitute is up, it ignores the substitue and damages the Pokemon's HP. Otherwise behaves like a normal attack.
Flash FreezeIce---5510StatusIf attack is successful, target Pokemon is frozen.
Chemical BurnFire8010020Special30% Chance to Poison foe (even steel types)
Legend ForceDragon501005Special10% chance to raise attack, defense, special attack, special defense, and speed by one stage.
DynamiteRock120855Special10% chance to cause flinching
NightbeamDark9510015Special20% chance to confuse, infatuate, or lower opponent's accuracy
Tendril FlurryGrass5010020Physical10% chance to lower all of opponent's stats (atk, def, satk, sdef, spd)

I can see the combination of Flash Freeze and anything accuracy boosting getting banned faster than you can say "Garchomp." Nightbeam would be stupidly overpowered because of those effects and the relatively chance to activate them (and not bad Base Power). Haunt, Heat Seek, and Tendril Fury seem a bit too powerful; lower the base power and they could be believable.

Spectral Dash and Legend Force sound more like abilities than moves, too.

That's my two cents.

Nightbeam is basically a dark type Tri-Attack with different secondary effects, but the same chance, however all of these secondary effects can be removed by switching out, unlike Tri-Attack's effects. Also freeze isn't THAT big of a problem, there's a 20% chance to defrost every turn and several moves defrost Pokemon, the accuracy could be dropped if that would help it. It was just a thought because freeze is the only status that does not have a move to activate it.

As for Heat Seek, it's basically a steel type Aura Sphere, but it's just super effective to give steel types a STAB to give them less horrible offensive coverage, which still only makes that attack super effective against three types (ice, rock, and now fire). I can see Tendril Flurry being too strong. I'll lower it from 80 bp to 50 so its basically a slightly stronger opposite Ancientpower. I don't know what you'd suggest for Haunt's power, but I made it since there really is no such thing as a good physical Ghost move other than the absurd Shadow Force which only Giratina gets.

As for Spectral Dash and Legend Force are you talking about the names or the effects? Because Dash definitely implies an action, like an attack. I can see the thing about Legend Force, how about Legendary Gust?

Firstly sory if i wasn't suppose to post this, but i like the ideas of some of those moves. Since i first stated playing pokemon i wished that there was a supremely fun, and somewhat powerful move thats not quit overpowered. So i thought a move like Holy slash and Unholy slash would be two fun new moves.(Yes the names arent quite right but i dont have anyother names that come to mind)

Holy slash is a move with a base power of 80, it is a psychic type move, increases in damage every turn but at the cost of life(life orb damage), and cant be blocked.

Unholy slash is the move that i would love to see in a real battle and is the move which i mentioned at the beginnning of the article.

This move has abase power of 20! Yes it is relatively low, and yes you might not ant to even consider it until i tell you the rest.

Unholy slash has a base power of 20, always goes critical so x2 damage(40), is always super effective x2 damage(80), negates abilities and ignores typing to go super effective, and has a 50% chance of inflicting any random status ailment.(condition)

Day before yesterday I saw a rabbit. And yesterday a deer. And today you
That's too OP. Get rid of that status ailment condition. Anything that causes random status 50% and does damage is OP anyway.
