Valley of Aurum Roleplay Ranks:


Alpha: The leader of the packs. Packs generally only have one or two.
Beta: Secondary position in the pack. Generally only one or two.
Delta: The postition after beta and alpha. They don't make important decisions without the alphas' or betas' agreement.
Subordinate: The normal rank for wolves neither high or low ranking. Generally warriors, hunters, or scouts.
Den Mother: Mother wolves either pregnant or currently taking care of pups.
Omega: the lowest ranking wolves. Often disrespected and mistreated.
Apprentice: Wolves in training.
Pup: Pups too young to train.
Healers: Wolves who heal the clan. Often disabled wolves or those who are too old to preform their original duties. Wolves who are/have been trained to be healers have spiritual connections.

Valley of Aurum Hunting Ranks:

Lead Wolves: These wolves are the swiftest and deadliest, who hunt down the prey. They stay under the cover of guard wolves, then sprint to the prey and hunt them down. Generally female.
Flanking Wolves: The second most important rank. The Flanking wolves' job is to keep the prey on course, making sure it doesn't move to an unwanted direction.
Guard/Barrier Wolves: Guard Wolves protect Lead Wolves incase the prey attacks, they are muscular and strong wolf. Some also are Barrier Wolves, who lope infront the Lead, blocking the wind until they get very close to the prey. Then they separate for the Lead Wolves to pass. These wolves generally have great stamina.
Watch Wolves: these wolves watch for any trouble, sniff tracks for signs of sickness, and warn the other wolves of danger. The Watch Wolves have to be very observent and intelligent.

Note: For certain packs, these rules might not be used, like for traveling or puppy packs.
