If you treat others with Respect, you will preserve your Dignity. Preserving your Dignity will bring you Honor. Treat other gamers with respect, even those who are not in our guild or who are not as good at the game as you are. Instead of calling the new gamer a noob or insulting them, offer to team up with them and teach them the parts of the game that you are good at. Similarly, if someone else insults you, respond gently or do not respond at all. If you have upset someone (even if it was an accident), apologize and make peace. If no peaceful resolution is possible, simply walk away. If you feel uncomfortable remaining in the area, moving to another location is acceptable. When you team up with other players, please remember that not everyone speaks the same language! Be patient, especially if you are teaching someone. They may not understand you very well, and getting frustrated or angry will only make the experience more painful for both of you. If another player does not seem to understand what you are telling them, try explaining it in a different way. If all else fails, politely ask what language they speak and use a service like Google Translate to help them understand. Please do not log in and play Guild Wars 2 if you are intoxicated or under the influence of mind altering substances (including alcohol and certain pain medications). We prefer that you are of clear mind and sound judgement while interacting with others in the game, particularly if you are chatting. Remember that every player of Guild Wars 2 should be treated like a sister or brother. We know that this can be difficult sometimes, but all we ask is that you do your best to hold true to what The White Guard stands for. |
