Volcanologist Harry Dalton (Pierce Brosnan) and Mayor Rachel Wando (Linda Hamilton), finally convince the unbelieving populace that the big one is about to hit and that they need to evacuate immediately, only to discover her two children have gone up the mountain to get their grandmother. With Earth's clock racing against them, they must rescue the kids and grandma before the volcano explodes in a fury of flame and ash a million times more powerful than an atomic bomb.

This movie is the equivalence to Twister if Twister were about Volcanos. Not my fave, but there is one death which feels very Piranha-esque.It's worth a watch.

And you are... a zombie bride?
My college geology professor actually screened this in class one day as part of an assignment, with the other part being to write a two-page report on it detailing its scientific accuracy or lack thereof, framed as a letter from a geologist hired by Steven Spielberg as a science adviser for a remake of it. I still have a copy of it in my hard drive. It's goofy as all hell, but hey, this is The Writer's Haven, so why not?
Spoiler: click to toggle

As for the movie itself, it's definitely one of the better disaster movies of the '90s. Not without its cheese, but definitely entertaining.
