In this reboot of the cult classic of the same name, down-on-her-luck Angela Feld opts to throw the ultimate Halloween rager in the dilapidated Broussard Mansion after uncovering the checkered past of the locale. Once the party is underway, however, the police bust the joint, leaving the guests to flee or hide. Being the latter, Angela's friends find themselves locked within the grounds, waiting until the movers arrive in the morning. Unfortunately for them, the mansion is none other than a hibernation hot spot for a group of demons just itching to raise some hell.

Probz 1 of the better horror remakes I've seen. It took enough of the spirit of the original & enough creativity & blended them 2gether in2 a familiar, but fresh little flick that was fun 4 me as a fan of the original. Baring in mind it still has some of the pacing issues as the original film, it's almost as if it were a perfect successor 2 it. The only truly disappointing aspect of the film is that, much like the sequels, most of the devilish antics r left up 2 the old bitch Angela while her minions just kind of go around tryna kill ppl, but given I had familiarized myself w/ that routine by this point, it wasn't a major detractor. :annamom:

I didn't even know they remade this. As a matter of embarrassing fact, when I first saw the thread title as Night of the Demons (2010), I was like... oh god, they're remaking that now?! As if this were still living in 2009 or something. Musta just been wishing thinking...

Anyway, the original scared the shit out of me as a kid and I use to like the sequel as well. Didn't see them for years and then I watched both and no big surprise, I realized how fucking bad they are. But they're alright. Especially the original.

So they've remade this, huh? And you say it's good(or about as alright as the og), huh?

JJKJHGF I WOULDA TOLD U ABOUT IT IF IK :ahhh:

#Mess @ u not liking the sequel, anymore, tho, it's such fun cheese :sadga: The original has eternally been 1 of my all-time favs, tho, & it'll continue 2 do so w/ how well it manages a lot of its shit, despite being such a cheap & under-appreciated film @ the time

Ya, I mean, no lie, the pacing is in the shitter, cuz it tries moving a bit 2 fast, which leaves a majority of the charries dead/possessed 2 fast 4 my liking, but it has a kickass soundtrack & feels like a perfect OTT update 2 the series, even tho it doesn't ft. as much back-talk from those possessed, which is a little missed becuz I adore Amelia Kinkade & Linnea Quigley hamming it up in the original >>> :blurb:

I didn't like this one either, but it's definitely the second best of the series. Great job of redoing the lipstick scene, this time making it comedic instead of gross out horror helped distinguish the two. Loved the cameo of her bending over in the dress again, that was pretty funny.

Ya, I could figure that u wouldn't like it all that much, but @ least we're on the same page about it being the 2nd best. It does have a decent cast & gave them more 2 do than the sequels did, 4 sure, but, aside from some badass designs 4 the gals when they go demonic, there rly wasn't enough ppl nor enough "fucking around" like the demons did w/ the charries in the OG, so, every1 dies 2 fucking fast & the later 1/2 kinda drags becuz of it. LOVE the updated & flipped Angela & Suzanne scene & the lipstick scene, tho. :thatspussybabes:

Like you had said earlier I did like that this remake changed a lot from the original while still feeling like the original. I also was expecting this to look pretty damn cheap like 3, but it surprisingly didn't even with the crappy quality I watched it in.
