A train filled with atomic devices threatens to destroy the city of Denver. John Serger (an NTSB agent) has to prevent this from happening.

Another wild atomic disaster movie but this one managed to surprise me a few times with some of the stupid things the characters did. Great double feature with Atomic Twister.

And you are... a zombie bride?
The full movie's up on YouTube.

I remember seeing the first half of this (it was a two-part NBC miniseries) when I was little, but not much else. I've also read that it apparently wasn't broadcast in Denver, mainly because it was still less than a month after the Columbine massacre (which occurred in a suburb of Denver) and a made-for-TV movie about a disaster happening there wouldn't have played well.

And while I can easily tell you why Rob Lowe would've starred in this, I'm willing to bet that Kristin Davis, whose Sex and the City career was just starting to take off, must've been wondering just what motivated her to star in this movie. It's also one of those pre-American Beauty roles that, together with The Rage: Carrie 2, Mena Suvari would probably prefer everybody forget.

Oh, and if you want to see something beautifully cheesy, here's the big money shot. The Day After or Terminator 2 this ain't.
