AKA: Entity Force, Mausoleum, Dark Night, Night Of Darkness, Rest In Peace, or Night In The Crypt![]() IMDB Blurb: As part of an initiation into a club called the Sisters, a young girl must spend the night in a mausoleum. Now, this isn't particularly amazing or all that horrifying (what w/ it being a bit silly @ times), but there was something inherently enjoyable about this when I screened this back on THC that I think makes this more of a testament 2 Tom McLoughlin's talent as a writer/director than Jason Lives EVER will be simply due 2 the fact that that film suffers tremendously w/ Tommy Jarvis shoved in2 the narrative. However, w/ this, being McLoughlin's debut directorial & writing effort, he's able 2 impressively transform a plot that would become relatively pedestrian yrs after the fact (what w/ the whole set-up of an "initiation gone wrong in an isolated location") in2 something w/ vibrant mad-cap energy by being ahead of the game & using that energy 2 make the film a worthwhile watch instead of enticing ppl w/ gore. That's y I'm excited that it's getting a blu ray release it deserves, cuz, I mean, I wouldn't have even known about this if it didn't have Meg Tilly, so, I imagine there's a hell of a whole lot of more ppl that haven't heard of this either. http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/234271/one-dark-night-blu-ray-specs-release-date-finally-announced/ |

It's so damn boring, they didn't even get to the lame ass mausoleum far almost an hour and then the stupid supernatural shit was over so quickly I couldn't believe I'd wasted 90 minutes on this shit. |
