This thread needs more love. Michael Myers is totally awesome, and even though the series is kind of hit-or-miss, it's got a couple really good entries. I'd rank the series like so:

Halloween > Halloween II > H20 > Season of the Witch > Remake > Halloween 4 > Halloween 5 > RZH2 > Resurrection > Halloween 6

Halloween 5 is my favorite, I know it's such an unpopular opinion but I love it so much and Danielle is just amazing.

Halloween and Halloween 2 are also great. I like H20, but wish it was longer. Never bothered to see 3, enjoy 4 but think it's overrated, I like 6, only saw it once and think it's underrated. Resurrection and the remakes, ugh. But the remake is easily better.

Did anyone else hear the original is getting a re-release on October 25th (It's 35th anniversary!) I'm so going!

For me:

Halloween > H20 > Halloween II > RZHalloween > Halloween 6 > Halloween 4 > Halloween 5 > RZH2 > SOTW > Resurrection.

I consider the original, H20 and HII to be the best of the franchise. A perfect trilogy. SOTW is good, just in the wrong franchise. H6 gets too much hate also. <3

Well it's getting a wide re-release so it'll probably be showing where you live.

I will weep for months if I'm not able to see it during the rerelease. Weep. For. Months. I have been wanting to see this movie on the big screen for like half my life. Not that that's saying much. But still.

A storyboard artist apparently was going to use this to pitch himself for the director's chair of Halloween 3D. Frankly it's awesome...

Yes, that pitch is AMAZING. Everyone should watch it now, because it's the best Halloween-related thing released in a WHILE.

And as much as I love H20, I must say, that movie needed to get it's masks straight. Too many damn changes. :nails:

Resurrection shouldn't exist.

I'm indifferent to SOTW, even though I have seen it.

4 & 5 were great for what they were, but 6 & H20 should've figured out a way to connect it all together.

1 & 2 are amazing, nuff said.

Do I have to say anything about the remakes? :Coffee:

Burn me at the stake, but Zombie's Halloween 2 was amazing, visually and character-wise. Honestly, I like how truly damaged and morphed these people have become after the events of the first one. It just feels the way Halloween should. The only thing that kinda turns me from it is the option to fully show Michael but that's okay because honestly, he WOULD look like a fucking bum hiding out like that. This film beats out the original sequels to me. Ten times better than the remake and I highly recommend the Director's Cut over the Theatrical.
