Literacy Rules And Helpful Guidelines Writing a peice of good literature with dedicated fans and posters need several things and guidelines I reccomend following before making your own story to post. Please remember while you do not need to follow these, only you know your talents. A headlining Title and Subtitle in the first post, with a prologue to the story at hand. A prologue can be the bit of story before the main one, or the prophecy or fore told destiny to the characters regarding the rest, or a indication of action following the next few scenes, or just a summery of what is to come. Alot of successful books start with a good, intreaging prologue, to warp the reader into reading the rest. Numbered Chapters, and Optional Chapter Titles. Chapters help the reader how many more they need to read, or numbers how much of the book has been used, and titled ones are like little sneakpeeks to what they're about to read; you don't need to limit yourself to how many chapters to use, but having them there would be alot easier and less confusing then just randomly writing long wordy posts. Epilogues to foretell the next story. While optional, this is reccomended if you plan to make a book two, or even a whole series following your first story. No Role Playing Like Character Presentations. While these are fun for rpers, they are'nt realistic to actual literacy to my knowledge, and are not really pleasing to non-rpers; Please try to keep things simple and true, and realistic, even if your characters are mutant dinoes or dragon overlords; readers won't like it if they cannot imagine the characters are real. Take Your time. Don't ever rush things if you can help it, all stories won't be closed due to inactivity, and double stories will not be closed either; you are in control of your stories, and the audiance your writing too. Be original. Try and impress yourself, make you proud of your own work; if your not pleased with it, it's most likely others won't either. Remember, don't be afraid to express yourself, you have plenty of room to let it all out, never be nervous to tell the world what your story is; This is the Round Table, Gather here with courage, which is acting regardless of fear. I know you have it in you. ~Love Twinkle |
