Telepathy and Dragons It was brought up that dragons communicate through 'squeaks' and telepathy though this most likely referred to how they communicate with one another. However, there may be instances where dragons communicate with their human handlers as a sign of great trust existing between the two. Players wanting to bond with their fully grown dragons via telepathy will have to roll to determine the success of their dragon's attempts at bonding with them. How it works: - You can pick any dragon in your possession to attempt a telepathic bond with but the maximum amount of dragons you may have a telepathic bond with is three. This means 3 period, not per character so choose wisely! - If you try and fail to bond with all of the dragons in your possession it will mean having to get more dragons in order to keep trying. - We get 1 roll every 2 weeks/per dragon starting from our first roll. - Maximum number of dragons you can roll for at one time, is 4. - Once you have created bonds with 3 dragons that's it you're done unless you release or kill those dragons you already have bonded with.( in roleplay ONLY. don't do this on your scrolls unless you absolutely want to!) Rolling: - For info on how to use the forum roller GO HERE - 1d100 dice will be used. - Reply to this thread performing your dice roll. Indicate which character and dragon in your possession you are attempting to bond with telepathically either by name or breed. [please make sure you have your dragon scroll or dragons listed somewhere on the forum for reference.] - If the board dice roller doesn't want to work for you (it doesn't like IE) then you may roll in the room. Please make sure there is another room member present to witness and include a script of the roll in your post here. - If you don't roll a successful bond with your dragon, depending on the number you turn up you may try again. There may also be ways to earn another roll before the 2 week time period, keep an eye out for that. The outcome will of that roll will fall under the following list of options: 1-40 - Unsuccessful but the dragon seems receptive and eager to communicate. Keep trying (and roll again in 2 weeks) 41-61 - A weak bond is created. Your dragon can speak to you but only at times when one of you is in distress or emotions are high. Example: you're sad and grieving, the dragon would sense this and perhaps attempt to communicate and better understand what's happening. Or maybe he's hungry/sick and he/she is trying to tell you. Further roleplay will be required to strengthen this bond. 62-71 - Successful link is created. You and your dragon can talk freely with one another! 72-81 - Unsuccessful. This dragon may not be able to communicate with humans telepathically. Try another dragon. 82-100 - Success but...there is a downside. Your dragon is strong, so much that his/her mind may overpower your own. There is a threat that you may fall victim to your dragon if you do not sever this bond or find a way to somehow manage this ability. Extensive roleplay will be required. --- For those with vampire dragons the same guidelines apply except we may only roll for a maximum of 2 Vampire dragons every 2 weeks, and the outcomes will be decided a little differently. These rolls are for Tamir Tagar. I am rolling three times. Once for his Mint Dragon and two more times for each of his Guardians. Henceforth the corresponding rolls with be Mind, Guardian, Guardian as far as their outcomes are concerned. Thank you! Haha but the Vampires have different guidelines from the regular dragons. The spoiler contains the different options. Since Vampires are a lil more dangerous the rolls were changed to reflect this. You have formed bonds with 2 of your dragons now muse, you have the option of attempting 1 more bond with another dragon which you can roll for 2 weeks from now. |

Please note too that we may only form 3 bonds period in the room. This is NOT 3 bonds per character. This will only affect people who have multiple characters (Like myself!) so spread your bonds wisely! This can change however and extra opportunities to bond my be provided in future. |
