Yeah, I've been gone for a while, but now I'm back. I've been moving from Winston-Salem (specifically Rural Hall) to Newland, NC, up in the mountains. If you want an idea of where I'm at, look up Grandfather Mountain or Mt. Mitchell (which is further from me than Grandfather, but not that bad - an hour and a half). It's BEAUTIFUL up here. I've wanted to live in the mountains for as long as I can remember, so now I'm living the dream, you could say. So now I'm REALLY a BlueRidgeMountainMan! |

Thanks guys! And yeah, it's pretty awesome. Although we're gonna have some REALLY cold and frigid winters... which is honestly fine by me. Give me lots of cold and snow over this searing "I Can't Believe It's Not The Sahara Desert!" Summer heat (which is a LOT better up in these high mountains than it was way down in Winston). Sure, the icy roads will suck (especially on these windy roads) but other than that, I'm game. In fact, I'll just say this (in the tune of the hook for the classic Biggie/Jay-Z song "I Love the Dough"): Gotta let it show, I love the cold, hey! I love the cold, more than you know! Actually, over here, we hardly got ANY snow this winter. It really wasn't much of a winter. For some reason, I love snow in December. Then Christmas is over, and for some reason, I don't like snow anymore! |

Same with me. Back when I lived around Winston, we barely got any snow, and if we did it was during January. I'll be interested to see how it goes up here. Plus, if we really get tons of snow, it'll give me the excuse to play this music!!! I even have music for different moods! The "YAY it's snowing, it's so beautiful and calming to watch!" song The "Oh crap, it's REALLY coming down and we're probably gonna get snowed in, and I hope we don't have to drive anywhere because the chances of us sliding around in the ice and ending up in a ditch are gonna be REALLY high" song The "AWESOME I'm snowboarding!" song, which won't happen because I'm a total wimp who won't even get on most of the rides at the fair |
