Updates -11/22/12: Well, after a VERY long hiatus, I am pleased to announce that Threads of Fate is back in business! I've cleaned up the place a little bit, so hopefully you'll notice and have an improved experience from before! Since we've been gone for so long, I expect things to be slow in the beginning, but I hope the board will gradually increase in activity! I personally would like to apologize for how things went down and for the place being inactive for so long. Anyway, with that out of the way, let's hope something like this doesn't happen again and welcome back everyone who actually remembers this place! The Dark Tournament is still coming up, so we're going to try to train hard until then and we'll see what happens on that fateful day on Hanging Neck Island! For everyone that has made a character here on Threads of Fate, I wish to inform you that there has been a drastic change in how character abilities work. No longer are there Classes or Signature Attacks on the board, just whatever you put under Skills. This means your character can basically have whatever powers you wish, so long as they aren't over powered and match whatever your character's Spiritual Class is. Also, this means that the 'Class' section of the character sheet has been removed, meaning you'll have to edit your Character Sheet and remove that section and your Signature Attack section as well. Sarayashiki Junior High A Junior High school in Japan that for some reason host to a combination of intelligent, school-going student, with the other half of the student body being low-life delinquents. Despite this bizarre occurrence, the students are able to co-inhabit the school without issue. Sarayashiki Junior High also host some of Japan's highest test scores and also happens to produce students with high Spirit Awareness for an unknown reason. Meiou High School The local high school in the neighborhood, MeiouHigh School is well populated with the typical mixture of 'normal' students and another part of the student body that the instructors like to call 'the bunch of thugs.' Being the only High School nearby, most everyone that graduates from the Junior High Schools are forced to come here. Whether that's a good thing or not depends on the individuals student's ideals and beliefs, but for the most part, most of its population understands that you have to watch your back at all times to 'survive.' Hino University The local college in the area, Hino University is a prestigious university that serves the finest and brightest minds. As such, the usual 'punks' and 'hooligans' that occupy the lower grade institutions are surprisingly absent hearing, leaving only a warm environment. The school is rather massive and new students always find themselves lost between the zigzagging hallways and the short times periods in which people are allowed to get to their class. Kaidan A massive city and shopping metropolis where most of the citizens in this area reside. It is well known for 'strange occurrences' to happen all over the neighborhood, such as ghost sitings and other supernatural events. Of course, none of these are proven to be at all true, so it is left up to speculation. Mushiyori Another city that's close to Kaidan, Mushiyori is much smaller in comparison and as a result, much more quiet. However, that doesn't mean there isn't a strange occurrence or two, as some of its denizens claim to her the moans and groans of the dearly departed walking the streets. It is unknown as to why these reports stem from both Mushiyori and Kaidan. Perhaps its simply what makes the two cities unique in that regard. Mushiyori houses a lake that visitors often like to travel too and a lighthouse that brightest up the darkness while ships attempt to sail at nighttime. Genkai's Compound The home of the renowned martial artist, Genkai. It is located on a private and rather expensive land somewhere in the mountains. Unless strictly invited by Genkai, it is generally a bad idea to simply wander here without permission, unless that unfortunate individual doesn't mind getting a stern earful from Genkai herself. Hanging Neck Island Little is known about Hanging Neck Island, as it doesn't show up on most maps of the world. Despite this, it is rumored to be the location of this year's 'Dark Tournament' and all sorts of mysterious figures travel there from time to time. Mostly off limits to those uninvited and there are actually claims that intruders will be killed on the spots. Strangely, there is an Hotel on this island by the name of the 'Hotel Kubikukuri.'
