Long ago, the equines were created along with a subspecies that consisted of many types. Everyone lived in harmony and peace, and all was good. Everything was perfect. Unfortunately, information about this era is long-since lost. No one knows what happened, but the only thing they do know is that they no longer live in this era. There is violence and bloodshed and strict ruling. Their subspecies has disappeared, but, thankfully, the equines have obtained the information of why. Over the centuries, severe climate changes and catastrophies and illnesses rose and fell. The equines prevailed, but the subspecies succumbed to these things. Only a few of the subspecies remain, but no one ever sees them. There was something different about this subspecies. When they died, they left a remnant. Tiny particles float about, and rarely, those who inhale them can concieve a child that is part of the subspecies race. But for those who have this happen to them, it is very dangerous for them and the foal. Even rarer, a mother will concieve a child of this subspecies race that is very healthy. This only happens when the remaining subspecies approaches a pregnant mother and touches her inflated stomach. So while this subspecies has mainly died off, they still are part of the remaining equine race. These subspecies died off centuries ago. Time goes on. But so much of history has been lost, never to be recovered. Sometimes, you can see fossilized, ancient equine hoof prints. Also, on occassions, you can hear the thundering of hooves hitting solid ground or the splashing of hooves on a beach. The thundering sounds of ancient equines long dead. But these are the only remains of the long-lost history. As far as anyone knows, their history has been pretty quiet. Nothing huge happened, nothing so memorable as to be on the front of everyone's minds. This means that history can be made. Made by your characters. Will your characters be the first ones who are remembered? And if so, remembered with love or hate? Make history. Welcome to Thunder. |
