New Sign-in Authorization Page
Posted by ₪ Chris (Admin) at February 4, 2013, 4:01 am. 0 comments
I have released a new sign-in page which makes use of the HTTPS protocol; this adds a layer of security to signing in.
If your forum still links to the old page, try a few hard page refreshes (Shift + Ctrl + R, or Shift + Cmd + R)
With this new page, it is possible for anyone who has been promoted past Access Level 1 to sign in - if they go through the link on the forum, which has a special value (did=#) appended to the URL. By default, however, this link is only shown to members who have the link to the Admin CP visible to them. I will soon add a link in the Control Center that can be provided to members who do not have access to the Admin CP.
If a member tries to sign in without this special value in the URL, they will most likely not be able to sign in, as the default DID is that of the Primary Domain (See General Settings)

Lightning Games' Conversions

The lightning games forum and website has been retired, as the hosting has expired. Luckily, I took measures a few months ago to copy all working conversions to my server. I've updated the Media File URLs automatically for everyone, so any games that were not working earlier today should be working now.
Some of you sent me messages about this, and I wasn't sure what to think of it because I thought everything was going to expire tomorrow, but it appears the hosting has gone out today.
Also, in the future the Lightning Games collection will be available through the Game Store, which has yet to be released. All conversions that were previously hosted on Springer's server will be available for free, and credit will be given to the converts. (I will hopefully be able to determine who converted the game by looking at the Gname suffix.) More information on the Game Store at a later date!
