Sith's wings beat as fast as they can as the bronze strains to try and catch up with the queen, though his first attention was on outflying the other bronzes. After all, if one of them caught her, how close he was wouldn't matter. Yes. He had to get ahead of them first. In his mind, the dragon was trying to come up with a way to lose the other dragons and catch up with the queen. Were any winds going the same direction as the flight? The one time he hated both his and his rider's lack of knowledge of the winds. It would help if he knew of air moving in the direction of the queen, that would aid him in catching up to her. N'har moves with the other riders, mind concentrated on his dragon's flight, linked with the bronze and seeing the events as if he really were up there with Sith. His hope that his own dragon would catch the gold was stronger than before, reinforced by his dragon's determination to catch her. |

Craibth-B'naf rose in glory, glorying in all that Kyriniath was and his own potency. His green-tinged hide shone, muscles rippling beneath with each indomitable beat of his great wings. The other Bronzes were ranged around, Taviath perhaps closer, but Craibth was watching, knowing that once Kyriniath had reached the height she wanted, she'd do all sorts of things to try to lose them. He was ready. B'naf was at Ranea's side by instinct, eyes closed in concentration, dulled under the lids as he focused on his beast. Craibth knew to conserve his energy now, he did not need to tell his beast that, and was instead reveling in this intimate link to his dragon, strong as it always was, as it'd been at the first instant of Impression. |

The gold continued towards the sky, now for the first time attempting to fly between. Of course, Ranea reacted immediately and grabbed her mind, forcing her to stay. Ranea withdrew to herself for a mere moment, wondering if any of the other Riders was having the same problem. Then, she was dragged back into her dragon's mind, as she took a wild swing, trying to loose the bronzes, before continuing upwards. They cast a glance backwards, all the bronzes were a bit further behind now. Kyriniath-Ranea knew, that it wouldn't last...but the joy of teasing these males! It was still hard to decide, who'd keep up with them. And impossible to decide, who'd catch her. |

Ganianth flapped his hardest and was going full speed now. He wouldn't lose her. He pushed his hardest to out fly all the others. Now, finally he was neck in neck with Taviath. Not good enough, he must fly faster than him. FASTER! He pushed finally has hard as he could, but R'yth held him back. He woldn't let anything happen to his friend, and he was straining himself. Gaianth co[ied her move and flew up with her, faster, and higher. |

Taviath hissed and added another few pumps of his wings to his flight, making him go a whole lot faster and regaining the stature of behind the Queen and being neck and neck with Ganianth. He hissed at the other bronze warningly as he sped up, his nose only a half of a dragonlength away from the queen. |

Ganianth hissed and flew faster as well. He was the smallest, he was the fastest, why had he not caught the Queen yet? Anger caused this beast to fly as fast as R'yth would let him. He wouldn't loose to this dragon, he wouldn't at all. |

Instead of following the queen's motion like the other bronzes, Sith flew straight towards the queen, figuring it took more time to do weird manouvers like that than to just fly straight; yes, if they copied her and he flew straight towards her, he might have a better chance at catching her. His wings beat faster, the dragon's first intention to pass and distance himself from any bronzes in front of him, ignoring a caution from his rider not to overstrain himself. [I'm old enough to know my limits.] His reply was rather absent, as he couldn't break his concentration from the queen. |

Craibth soared higher on a thermal, cruising easily along as Ganianth and Taviath faced off. Every maneuver would cause Kyriniath to lose altitude, and every foot she lost meant the shorter the flight would be if he caught her there. So he bided his time, waiting for her boredom and the other bronzes to grow complacent, watching eagle-eyed the golden dragon with a keenness in his gaze and in his heart. He did not need to call upon his reserves yet. The bronze was young, but not stupid-- he was saving his energy for the final stretch, the key to winning. |

Having kept his eyes on the other bronzes that were around or ahead of him, Sith saw Craibth catch a thermal, and, immediately following his path, the bronze managed to catch it, too, though after the other dragon. The other dragons were useful, then. They showed him where the thermals were. Once more increasing the speed of his wings, Sith tries to pass the other bronze, intent on not letting him win after having gone through the trouble of following him. |

Kyriniath looked down, she had gotten too far to the ground. If she could just fly between...she immediately felt Ranea's mind keep her where she was. Very well. She quickly turned upwards and started to fly up for quite a while, before straightening again. Again, she cast a glance backwards. They were all catching up with her. Oh well, that was how Ranea wanted it. Who would it be? The little annoyed Ganianth? A mere 5 turns...seemed young, inexperienced. The big, strong Taviath? He was more than a few turns older than her...he would definately be a suiting mate for her. The huge Sith? He was a bit younger than her, but his size would make up for it...but he was trailing behind, not being experienced enough. And there was also Craibth. She felt Ranea's mind in her own - Ranea favored Craibth because of his Rider. M'helan was liked too, though. This would be Kyriniath's choice. But Craibth was an option, too. |

Hissing as Taviath flew higher, catching up with the Queen, battling every bronze there to reach her. His nose was now less than half a dragonlength from the Queen. Taviath roared and used a sudden burst of speed to land himself only a few hands behind, and slightly above the Queen. He then glided, falling behind by four human hands. He hissed, knowiing the Bronzes would be catching up a whole lot sooner. He flicked his tail pumping his sail-like wings a few time more to keep up with the golden beauty infront of him. His massive form wouldn't slow him down, even though he was beginning to feel the slight wain of energy. He then thought of an idea and a sweet croon of love escaped the maw of the large bronze, hoping to make the Queen think of him a bit more and help presuade her to choose himself. |

Craibth ignored Sith. Sith was not his concern. So long as he was up here, he did not need to race the other Bronzes. As Taviath picked up speed, working with all his heart to gain the needed altitude, Craibth rode a calculated length higher, the air getting too thin to support him, waiting for Kyriniath. He knew where her favours were. But he knew where his lay, and at this point, he knew what to do to get there. Now. Folding his wings, he arrowed towards Kyriniath and Taviath, using gravity to bring his weight around in an arc, ahead of Taviath and nearly overlapping Kyriniath. In the end, it depended on her. How she reacted to his sudden uncomfortable proximity would either open up his opportunity to catch her, if not, then certainly Taviath's. Of course she might always... but no. She wouldn't do that. |

Ranea felt Kyriniath's shock as her own: What in Faranth's name was the bronze doing up there, trying to kill them both? Kyriniath immediately tried to do what her instincts told her about being attacked; she tried to fly between. But Ranea hadn't let go off her, she soon realised. Instead, she folded her wings to avoid them being cut off. |

Taviath cut the Queen by barrelrolling and landing himself on her other side, just slightly above her. He crooned his song louder and noticed it was between Craibith and himself for now. He roared and pumped his wings harder. He hoped the Queen would choose soon, or they would all begin to drop in strength. |

Craibth-B'naf grinned devilishly as he sensed the Queen's shock. Oh no. Not trying to kill. Trying to catch. As Kyriniath dropped, pursued by Taviath, Craibth skillfully followed her down, not giving an inch. At one side lay the large and beautiful Taviath, at the other the young and willful Craibth. This was the opportunity Craibth needed, while Taviath was blocking her only route of escape. In an instant he'd dropped to where she was in reach and he took his chance, pentadactyl foreclaws closing on her shoulder joints. Snaking his head down, he swiftly twined his neck with hers, giving her no quarter to break away at this critical juncture. And B'naf then had Ranea by the forearms, gentle in his grip, the walls of a vacant ground-level weyr enclosing them as the tide of Craibth's lust dragged him, a willing participant, into its irresistable currents. |

Taviath hissed angerily, he was such an idiot to block off her escape route. He should have moved in, but Craibith was the better bronze. He hissed and dropped to earth at and alarming rate. M'helan was below, watching his Bronze fall from the sky. M'helan sighed disappiontedly and turned away from the two new lovers and awaited his bronze to pick him up near the Lower Caverns. He found comfort next to a wall where he gazed up at the sky, watching his bronze glide to the earth, and he could see that the pride that his dragon once had was gone. When his bronze finally landed infront of him, M'helan mounted and his dragon took to the air. Taviath landed on his weyrledge in a few moments where M'helan dismounted and where both dragon and rider found comforting to stay until needed. |

Diving downward after Taviath had, having watched the end of the flight from a distance away, Sith curses himself for not being fast enough; all he'd been able to do was watch, unable to catch up, in the end. Landing on the ground, he glanced around for his rider, wanting to leave now; his only interest in being out here had been the queen, and he was quite tired now, since the starting of it had woken him up. N'har sighed, both at the fact that his dragon had been obviously slower than the other two, and at his dragon's own dejection at his lack of speed. But he was as tired as his dragon, and, mounting, had no trouble getting Sith to bring them back to their weyr where both could finish their interupted sleeping. |

Kyriniath was surprised but pleased. She hadn't cared about who of those two would Catch her, and since dragons live in the now, she just enjoyed the warmth and care from Craibth. Humans though, are the opposite of dragons, they always think about things, so Ranea couldn't help feel a sting in her heart for the disappointed couple - M'helan and Taviath. But the best pair won, she hoped. Craibth had turned out to know a trick more than Taviath, which could come in handy for the Weyrleader. Moments later, she found herself in a male's arms - for a moment surprised by the fact that she didn't see a dragon there, then nothing else than the dragons and B'naf mattered. |

Ganianth flew gently down to the ground and streached his sore wings. R'yth rubbed his Bronzes neck. >You did your best Ganianth.< He told his dragon. Ganianth huffed, but really didn't mind as much right now, not while his neck was being rubbed. R'yth smiled as his dragon let out a huff, but said nothing. >Let's go back.< He said to his dragon smiling. [Very Well.] R'yth mounted his dragon and flew back to the weyr, which really there was not that much of a need for, as it wasn't extreamly far away. |
