She nodded at B'naf's words. She knew that Wingleaders usually stuck trusted people as their wingseconds...but they had no choice, unless they had him transfered to another Weyr...and that would be a humiliation. While listening, she started to scribble a list of things to do: Check up on problems between Candidates, make sure that Isalia gets proper instructions on handling Phoenix, instruct Candidates in their sexuality (they need to know about Flights, the period without sex)...in Faranth's name - these things weren't her job! She would need to tell M'helan. Everybody knew that these Candidates wouldn't stay Candidates for very long. "Rubin." The green flit appeared in the air above Ranea. "Here, go find M'helan and hand him this." She handed Rubin the pergament. *meat* "No, M'helan! Not meat!" *...M'helan WITH meat?* "Sure, if you can talk him into feeding you." The flit vanished between. "Well. If we don't want to stick that troublemaker with Benden or Igen...we'll have to handle him. YOU'll have to handle him. I have the Candidates and Ky to deal with. Or rather - I'll have to force D'san and especially M'helan to deal with it. And Ky...she'll Clutch soon, and then I'll need to stay around her, and..." She sighed - sometimes she longed to be a Green Rider. She then shook the feeling off - would she want Ky to be a green? No. Ky wouldn't be Ky, if she was green. "B'naf, I'll...we...do you..." She felt a bit distracted by Ky and never managed to finish any of the sentences. >Ky, please. Would you mind..?< [Maybe you should get out to me, little one. And bring that beast of mine.] >Sweetie, even though I love you, I'm not your messenger.< [I just figured you'd like to see these little jewels, which I have created.] Ranea could even feel Ky laugh. Of course. That was why she had sneaked away like that. Ranea got up really fast. "My love, I need to leave you now. Ky needs me. And she wants to see Craibth, too." The Ranea turned around and ran out of her room, as fast as her legs could carry her, both because of joy and curiousity, but also because she didn't want to explain her endearment.

B'naf blinked at Rubin's abrupt appearance and disappearance before focusing on Ranea again, nodding resignedly. He regarded his Weyrwoman curiously, sitting up as she seemed on the verge of--

"Eh?
" the Bronzer uttered eloquently as Ranea rose, his mind stopping on her use of 'love' to refer to him. Watching her go dumbly for a second, he suddenly sprang into action and nearly fell out of the chair. "Eh, what?!"

[I'll be waiting for you at the Hatching Grounds,] Craibth informed B'naf as the Bronzer managed to disentangle himself and rush off after Ranea, boggled by her behavior. Divining what the Bronze meant by that in less than a heartbeat, B'naf broke into a run, the current of excitement in his beast's voice incredibly infectious. He had to see!
