The Doctor
|
Instructions Please read the following, and post the character skeleton in a new thread with your character's name as the title. I will inform you if your character has been accepted. Character Skeleton Name: Age: Gender: Species: Planet of Origin: (Earth, Skaro, etc...) Time of Origin: (*present* which is 2009, or say the future, 51st centry...) Allegiance: (UNIT, Torchwood...nothing... etc) Rank/Occupation: (Only needed for UNIT or whatever) Appearance: Weapons: (Optional. The Doctor hates guns.) Special Abilities: (Racial abilities, etc.) Personality: (Optional) Bio: (Optional) Species There are many, many different species in the Whoniverse. The following are just a few ideas to get you going. Human: a species of sentient mammals, originating from the planet Earth. Time Lord: a species of near-humans, originating from the planet Gallifrey. They have the ability to travel in time using a TARDIS, and live for an extremely long time. They have the ability to cheat death by regenerating. The Time Lords were destroyed in the Last Great Time War, The Doctor and The Master being the only survivors. Whifferdill: a shape-changing species from the planet Xenon. Their real form is a Humanoid, pale yellow in colour with a round, featureless head. Their shape-changing abilities could be stopped if they were infected with mono-morphia. Silurian: also known as Eocenes, Homo reptilia and Psionosauropodomorpha - are a species of Earth reptile. The Silurians are an extremely varied species, with a wide range of subspecies and appearances. Whilst many Silurians appeared similar, there are subtle differences which were attributed to caste. There are also clans or families with differentiated physical characteristics, some suited for environments of extreme cold or high plateaus. In general, they are humanoid reptilians with scaly crests on their head. Oblivioner: a sentient species originating from the planet Oblivion. Originally humanoid, they were genetically modified by their enemies into new forms. The ruling class were turned into human-animal hybrids, each with an unique appearance. They had the ability to possess the bodies of others, and some developed a psychic hive mind. Catkind: a race of humanoid felines that originated on the planet New Savannah but soon spread across the New Earth Empire. Catkind have some similarity to the non-humanoid cats of Earth, though they are closer to the size of a human. They have fur in a variety of lengths and colors, including brown, black and tabby stripes. They have retractable claws which they can use for defense. Though physically similar, they were different in internal anatomy to humans. Factions UNIT: The Unified Intelligence Taskforce — formerly known as the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce, and more usually known as UNIT — was a military organisation which operated under the auspices of the United Nations. Its remit was to investigate and combat paranormal and extraterrestrial threats to the Earth. UNIT was not the only alien defence organisation, but it was the one with which the Doctor had the closest personal involvement. Torchwood Institute: an organization founded in 1879 to protect the British Empire (later Great Britain) from extraterrestrial threat and to capture the Doctor, and to secure alien technology for Britain. It had branches across the Empire. Before 2007, the leading branch was Torchwood One in London. After the Battle of Canary Wharf, leadership moved to Torchwood Three in Cardiff, which already had a more ecumenical agenda of protecting the world since Captain Jack Harkness had taken over in 2000.
