If you could own any existing railroad, which one?

If you could make up one of your own, what would you call it? What locomotives would you use? What type of services would it be for?
What gauge?

For freight SD40-2's ES44AC 14 D9-C44W And 2 M420W's

The real railroad for me would be either Norfolk Southern or BNSF.

My own railroad-

Name: Wabash Valley
Gauge: Standard
Used locomotives: 2 Ex. UP GP38-2s , 1 Dash 8 (Ex. ATSF), the abandoned TP&W GP20 in my town (rebuilt), 2 Ex. CSX Dash 7s, 2 Ex. Amtrak F40PHs, 1 Ex. EJ&E SD38.

New locomotives: 2 GE ES44AC's & 2 EMD SD70ACe's.

Service: Freight

First of all, it's Sodor not Sudor. Second, if it were real, I'd be investing in it. XD I like the ideas I've seen so far. It just shows that we all have great railroading imaginations/dreams.in our minds. Keep them coming!!

CN just takes over U.S. railroads, THAT'S why they're a big railroad! Besides, gerr's right, Thall. UP & BNSF are the top 2 U.S.railroads. CSX is 4th behind them & the Thoroughbred of Transportation: Norfolk Southern!!

I'd buy up UP and BNSF, because they're making money and covering a large area of operation. Then, I'd strip away those titles, paint schemes, and all, and merge them into one company, with a new (old) Name: Southern Pacific, and we'd go back to the old color schemes, The Daylight and Black Widow schemes. And if a locomotive didn't have one, we'd create them. Also, SP 4449 would be given a home and put to as regular a service as we could reasonably allow while keeping her in good shape.

Because I'm an SP fanboy, that's why.

My own personal railroad? It'd probably be one set to operate in a national park, narrow guage, probably around 3 ft, all running in live steam. I'd pick either yosemite or yellowstone for it's location if I could. Because for some reason that just seems like it would be awesome. A tourist railway of course, but hey, it's be me, steam trains, and making people happy with them all the time, with making a little money from it after maintinence and running costs. Sounds like a good idea to me XD

Is it realistic? Probably not in the slightest, but I don't care, that's how I'd want to do it :) So, glad to hear someone thinks it's creative :)
